Michael McGuire (actor)
Michael McGuire (born 1934) is an American film, television and theatre actor. Life and career McGuire was born in 1934. He began his career in 1964, appearing in the Broadway play ''The Passion of Josef D.'' He also appeared in other Broadway plays, including ''Child's Play'', ''Hey Fever'', and '' That Championship Season'', for which he won a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Performance, shared with Charles Durning, Walter McGinn, Richard Dysart and Paul Sorvino, in 1972. He also received an Outer Critics Circle Award for the same performance. McGuire began his screen career in 1968, playing Dr. Bryan Angell in the television soap opera ''One Life to Live''. Michael McGuire (politician)
Michael Thomas Francis McGuire (3 May 1926 – 16 August 2018) was a British Labour Party politician. McGuire was born in Carrowmore, County Mayo, Ireland in May 1926. He was a branch secretary of the National Union of Mineworkers. Upon being elected as Member of Parliament, represented Ince from 1964 to 1983, and Makerfield from 1983 until he was deselected by his constituency party in 1987, largely because of his failure to support the miners' strike of 1984 to 1985. In 1954 he married Marie T. Murphy (died 1998), with whom he had three sons and two daughters. He died in Aintree University Hospital in August 2018 at the age of 92. Michael James McGuire (born 4 September 1952) is an English footballer who played as a midfielder in the Football League. He attended Blackpool Grammar School where the main sport was rugby but he was able to play some football in the evenings. He came to the attention of Coventry City for whom he signed professional terms in November 1969. Mike McGuire in an American college baseball coach and former catcher. He is the head baseball coach at the University of South Carolina Upstate. McGuire played college baseball at the University of Akron from 1990 to 1991 and the University of South Carolina from 1992 to 1993 and played semi-professionally in the Frontier League from 1993 to 1994. He served as head coach of the Morehead State Eagles baseball program from 2013 season to 2019.
