Michael Maguire (actor)
Michael L. Maguire (born February 20, 1955) is a retired American actor, best known for his role as Enjolras in the original Broadway production of the musical ''Les Misérables''. This role won him a Tony Award in 1987. It also won him a Drama Desk Award and a Theatre World Award. In 1995 he was chosen to reprise the role in '' Les Misérables: The Dream Cast in Concert'' at the Royal Albert Hall in London, produced to celebrate the musical's 10th anniversary. His voice type is baritone. Maguire was born in Newport News, Virginia, and, as a teenager, worked as a strolling troubadour in Williamsburg, Virginia, before going on to study opera at the Oberlin Conservatory and the University of Michigan. Michael 'Mick' Maguire (6 June 1894 – 5 June 1950) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Richmond Football Club in the VFL from 1910 to Round 8 of the 1912 season, then played for the Melbourne Football Club for the rest of 1912 to 1914. Finally he played for the Collingwood Football Club in 1918. He holds the record as the youngest player to have played senior football at Richmond, being only 15 years and 328 days old upon debut in Round 1 of the 1910 season. Despite this, he was the club's leading goalkicker in his debut year. He also gained some notoriety as a welterweight boxer between 1912 and 1915. Maguire was a well-known publican in Melbourne, operating the ''Bull and Mouth Hotel'' in Melbourne, and after 1932, Bellevue Hotel in Brisbane. He was father to five daughters; sometimes known as "the fabulous Maguires." Michael Maguire (born 5 February 1974) is an Australian professional rugby league football coach who is the Head Coach of New Zealand national rugby league team, New Zealand at international level, and a former professional rugby league footballer who played as a er and in the 1990s. After a playing career spent mostly at the Canberra Raiders, with a brief stint with the Adelaide Rams, he became assistant coach of Melbourne Storm under Craig Bellamy (rugby league), Craig Bellamy and in 2009 became a head coach in the Super League with English club the Wigan Warriors. He was previously the head coach for the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Wests Tigers in the National Rugby League, NRL. Michael Maguire (born 23 August 1965) is an Irish retired Gaelic footballer who played as a goalkeeper for the Cork senior team. Maguire joined the team during the 1984 championship and was a regular sub goalkeeper until his retirement after the 1998 championship. Thomas Michael Maguire is a Northern Irish public servant and former management consultant. Between July 2012 and July 2019, he served as the Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland. He was previously the Chief Inspector of the Criminal Justice Inspectorate in Northern Ireland (2008 to 2012).
