Michael Lloyd (music Producer)
Michael Jeffrey Lloyd (born November 3, 1948) is an American record producer, arranger, songwriter and musician. After working with Mike Curb, Kim Fowley and others in the mid-to-late 1960s on musical projects including the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, and Steven Spielberg's first short film, ''Amblin''', he became a producer of such teen idol pop stars as the Osmonds, Shaun Cassidy and Leif Garrett in the 1970s. During the 1980s, Lloyd supervised the music soundtrack for the movie ''Dirty Dancing'', including production of the hit " (I've Had) The Time of My Life", and worked with Belinda Carlisle, Barry Manilow and many others. By his own account, Lloyd has earned over 100 gold and platinum records. Early life and musical career Born in New York City, Lloyd learned classical piano and guitar as a child. Air Vice Marshal Michael Guy Lloyd, was a senior commander in the Royal Air Force who served as the Air Officer Commanding No. 22 Group from 2011 until 2014. RAF career Lloyd served with No. 18 Squadron from 1981 to 1985. Promoted to air commodore in 2004, Lloyd became Director of Defence Publicity in 2004, Director of Reserve Forces and Cadets in 2006, and Director of Corporate Affairs in 2008 before becoming Air Secretary in March 2009. Michael Lloyd (born 1 November 1957) is a British Church of England priest and academic. He has been Principal of Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford, since his appointment in 2013. Lloyd was formerly the chaplain at The Queen's College, Oxford and was the Director of Studies in Theology at Christ's College, Cambridge. Lloyd has taught theology and doctrine at the University of Oxford, Cambridge University and St Paul's Theological Centre, London. He has published the popular introduction Café Theology and has a particular interest in the doctrine of evil and the problem of pain. He holds a BA in Theology from Durham University, graduating in 1983 with first-class honours as a member of St John's College. The 1970 Grand National was the 124th renewal of the Grand National horse race that took place at Aintree near Liverpool, England, on 4 April 1970. Gay Trip won the race by 20 lengths, giving jockey Pat Taaffe his second winner. Only seven horses finished the race and Racoon was a fatality at the 3rd fence.
