Michael Lipman
Michael Lipman (born 16 January 1980, in London) is a retired English rugby union Flanker. Lipman played professionally in both the United Kingdom and Australia and has also played at International level for England. Early career in Australia Lipman was born in London but was brought up in New South Wales, Australia. He was schooled in Sydney at St Joseph's College, Hunters Hill. He played for the under 21 New South Wales and Australian teams, and played for the Warringah Rugby Club. Lipman played for Waratahs 'B' but was unable to secure a contract. Domestic career in England He joined the Bristol Shoguns club in the summer of 2001 and played in the Zurich Premiership during the 2001/02 and 2002/03 seasons, earning 21 games in total. European Challenge Cup
The EPCR Challenge Cup is an annual rugby union competition organised by European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR). It is the second-tier competition for clubs based in European leagues behind the European Rugby Champions Cup. From its inception in 1996 to 2014, it was known as the European Challenge Cup and governed by European Rugby Cup (ERC). Following disagreements in the structure of the tournament's format and division of revenue, the English and French leagues withdrew to form the EPCR, which organized the Challenge Cup and the Champions Cup since the 2014–15 season. 2008 Six Nations Championship
The 2008 Six Nations Championship, known as the 2008 RBS 6 Nations because of sponsorship by the Royal Bank of Scotland, was the ninth series of the rugby union Six Nations Championship, the 114th series of the international championship. Fifteen matches were played over five weekends from 2 February to 15 March, resulting in Wales national rugby union team, Wales winning the Grand Slam (rugby union), Grand Slam, their second in the last four championships and tenth overall. In winning the Grand Slam, Wales also won the Triple Crown (rugby union), Triple Crown, for beating each of the other Home Nations, for the 19th time. Docklands Stadium, also currently known by naming rights sponsorship as Marvel Stadium, is a multi-purpose sports and entertainment stadium in the Docklands area of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The Ella-Mobbs Trophy (formerly the Cook Cup from 1997–2021) is a rugby union trophy contested between Australia national rugby union team, Australia and England national rugby union team, England. The Cook Cup was established in 1997 when the Wallabies and England contracted to play each other bi-annually for a decade, playing matches on a home and away basis. Alex Crockett
Alex Crockett (born 20 November 1981 in Bath, Somerset, England) is a former English rugby union player, who played at centre. Career Crockett started his professional career at Bath. He was called into the England Saxons squad to face Italy A in Ragusa, Sicily on 9 February 2008. He was appointed joint captain (with Michael Lipman) for Bath in the 2008/9 season Crockett resigned from Bath along with co-captain Michael Lipman, and Andrew Higgins on 1 June 2009 On 4 December 2009, it was announced that Crockett had signed a contract with Bristol which will last until the end of the 2009/10 season.
