Michael Kay (footballer)
Michael Joseph Kay (born 9 December 1989 in Consett, England) is an English former footballer. He usually played in the right back position, but could also play as a central defender and has been known to fill in as a left back on occasion. He is a former England Under-17 international. He is no relation to former Sunderland defender John Kay. He is now an engineer at openreach working as a cabler on fnd fibre build. Club career Kay joined Sunderland's academy at 7 years of age and progressed through the ranks before making his professional debut on 4 February 2009 against Blackburn Rovers in a FA Cup 4th Round Replay. He regularly captained Sunderland's reserve team during the 2009–10 season. On 30 September 2010 he joined Gateshead on a one-month loan deal. Premier League
The Premier League (legal name: The Football Association Premier League Limited) is the highest level of the men's English football league system. The 2007–08 Premier League (known as the Barclays Premier League for sponsorship reasons) season was the 16th since its establishment. Cheshire Senior Cup
The Cheshire County Football Association Challenge Cup, commonly known as the Cheshire Senior Cup, is a football knockout tournament founded in the 1879–80 season and involves teams from Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside, England. FA Trophy
The Football Association Challenge Trophy, commonly known as the FA Trophy, is a men's football knockout cup competition run by and named after the English Football Association and competed for primarily by semi-professional teams. The competition was instigated in 1969 to cater to those non-league clubs that paid their players and were therefore not eligible to enter the FA Amateur Cup. 2010–11 Football Conference
The 2010–11 Football Conference season was the seventh season with the Conference consisting of three divisions and the thirty-second season overall. The Conference covers the top two levels of Non-League football in England. The Conference Premier is the fifth highest level of the overall pyramid, whilst the Conference North and Conference South exist at the sixth level. The top team and the winner of the play-off of the National division were promoted to Football League Two, while the bottom four were relegated to the North or South divisions.
