Michael Johnson is an American politician from the South Carolina Republican Party. Devine was elected to the South Carolina Senate in the 2020 election to serve the 16th Senate District ( Lancaster and York counties). S.C. Senate Johnson has represented South Carolina's 16th Senate District since 2020. He won the seat after longtime SC Senator Greg Gregory announced his retirement in 2019, opening up the seat for the first time since 2011. An electoral swing analysis (or swing) shows the extent of change in voter support, typically from one election to another, expressed as a positive or negative percentage. A multi-party swing is an indicator of a change in the electorate's preference between candidates or parties, often between major parties in a two-party system. A swing can be calculated for the electorate as a whole, for a given electoral district or for a particular demographic.
