Michael Hughes Kenny
Michael Hughes Kenny (June 26, 1937 – February 19, 1995) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as bishop of the Diocese of Juneau in Alaska from 1979 to 1995. Biography Michael Kenny was born in Hollywood, California, on June 26, 1937. He was ordained into the priesthood for the Diocese of Santa Rosa by Bishop Leo Thomas Maher on March 30, 1963. On March 22, 1979, Pope John Paul II named Kenny the third bishop of the Diocese of Juneau. He was consecrated by the pope on May 27, 1979. His co-consecrators were Archbishops Duraisamy Lourdusamy and Eduardo Somalo. Michael Kenny died in Palestine of a brain aneurysm on February 19, 1995. He was later buried in Juneau. In 2009, the Bishop Michael H. Kenny Memorial Peace Park was opened in Juneau. According to his successor, Bishop Edward J. An intracranial aneurysm, also known as a brain aneurysm, is a cerebrovascular disorder in which weakness in the wall of a cerebral artery or vein causes a localized dilation or ballooning of the blood vessel. Eduardo Martínez Somalo (; 31 March 1927 – 10 August 2021) was a Spanish prelate of the Catholic Church who spent most of his career in the Roman Curia, first in the Secretariat of State (Holy See), Secretariat of State from 1956 to 1975 and from 1979 to 1988, and then leading two of its principal Dicastery, dicasteries: the Congregation for Divine Worship from 1988 to 1992 and the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life from 1992 to 2004. Duraisamy Simon Lourdusamy (5 February 1924 – 2 June 2014) was an Indian cardinal of the Catholic Church. He was the Prefect of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches in the Roman Curia and was elevated to the cardinalate in 1985. His episcopical motto was ''Aedificare domum Dei'' which means "To build the house of God". He was the fourth cardinal from India and the first curial cardinal of Asia outside of the Middle East.
