Michael Halliday (footballer)
Michael Halliday (born 28 May 1979) is a footballer from Northern Ireland who plays in the NIFL Championship for Knockbreda. Halliday is from East Belfast and started his career at Glentoran (of whom he is a lifelong supporter), where he played for 11 years and won many trophies. Due to his loyalty the club, he was offered a testimonial in 2009. On 15 May 2010, Halliday signed a 3-year contract with North Belfast club Crusaders. He arrived on a free transfer after being released from Glentoran by new manager Scott Young at the end of the 2009/2010 season. He had the perfect start to this Crues career, scoring on his league debut against Donegal Celtic, and on 2 October 2010, Halliday scored the winning goal against his old side Glentoran to close the gap on the leaders. He also scored in the Irish Cup semi final against Portadown, to put the Crues into their second final in 3 years. Belfast

Ballymena & Provincial Intermediate League
The Ballymena and Provincial Football League is a regional football league in Northern Ireland. The league has a Premier Division with intermediate status and three junior divisions: Junior Divisions 1, 2 and 3. History The league was formed as the Ballymena and District Junior League in 1948, with twelve founding members, including Moyola Park F.C., the only original member club that still retains membership through its reserve team. In 1983, the name was changed to the Ballymena and District Premier League, and in 1990, intermediate status was granted to the top division and the league was renamed as the Ballymena and Provincial Intermediate League. 2012 Setanta Sports Cup
The 2012 Setanta Sports Cup was the seventh staging of the annual All Ireland, all-Ireland association football competition. It commenced on 11 February 2012 and ended on 12 May 2012, with the final played at The Oval (Belfast), The Oval, Belfast. The draw for the 2012 competition was made at Aviva Stadium, Dublin, on 25 January 2012. Setanta Cup
The Setanta Sports Cup was a club football competition featuring teams from both football associations on the island of Ireland. Inaugurated in 2005, it was a cross-border competition between clubs in the League of Ireland from the Republic of Ireland and the NIFL Premiership from Northern Ireland. The cup was sponsored by Setanta Sports, the Irish subscription sports television network. The competition was discontinued after the 2014 edition. The 2011–12 Irish League Cup (known as the Irn-Bru League Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 26th edition of the Irish League Cup, Northern Ireland's secondary football knock-out cup competition. The competition was contested by the 12 members of the IFA Premiership, as well as the 30 members of the IFA Championship. The competition began on 27 August 2011 and ended with the final on 28 January 2012. Lisburn Distillery were the defending champions, following a 2–1 victory over Portadown in the previous season's final. However, they were eliminated in the Third Round by Crusaders. Gold Cup (Northern Ireland)
The Gold Cup is a defunct cup competition which involved competitors from Ireland and from 1921 onwards, just for Northern Ireland. It was initially run by the New Irish Football Association but later, and mainly, by the Irish Football Association. The competition was first played in the 1911–12 season after seven of the eight participating clubs left the IFA (only Linfield remained) after a dispute over money and founded the New IFA. This new organisation introduced the cup as the "New Irish Cup". At the end of the season after many discussions, the dissident clubs returned to the IFA and the tournament was not held in 1912-13. However, it was revived by the IFA in 1913–14 season. In the seasons 1915–16 to 1918–19 season it was played in a league format. County Antrim Shield
The County Antrim & District Football Association Senior Shield (more commonly known as the County Antrim Shield) is a football competition in Northern Ireland. The competition is open to senior teams who are members of the North East Ulster Football Association (also known as the County Antrim & District Football Association) (membership of which extends geographically beyond County Antrim itself), often plus intermediate teams who qualify via the Steel & Sons Cup, depending on the numbers required. For the 2010–11 and 2011-12 seasons, only the winners took part. The current Shield champions are Larne, who beat Linfield 1–0 in the 2021–22 final, winning the trophy for a second successive year. During the later 1980s and early 1990s, the North East Ulster F.A. invited senior clubs from outside its jurisdiction to participate. The 2009–10 Irish League Cup (known as the Co-operative Insurance Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 24th edition of the Irish League Cup, Northern Ireland's secondary football knock-out cup competition. The tournament started on 28 August 2009 with the first round and ended on 27 March 2010 with the Final. The cup was contested by the 12 members of the IFA Premiership and the 14 members of IFA Championship 1. Portadown were the defending champions after their second League Cup win last season; a 1–0 victory over Newry City in the previous final. This season however, they went out at the semi-final stage to eventual winners Glentoran, who defeated Coleraine 4–1 on penalties in the final after the game finished 2–2 following extra time.
