Michael Goodwin (architect)
Michael Kemper Goodwin (April 28, 1939 – May 4, 2011) was an architect and politician in the Phoenix, Arizona area. He also served two terms in the Arizona House of Representatives in the 1970s. Life and career Goodwin was born April 28, 1939, to Kemper Goodwin and Mary 'Mickey' Goodwin. (Kemper Goodwin was a local architect, who designed two buildings which are now on the National Register of Historic Places in Arizona). He attended the University of Southern California graduating in 1963. After graduation, Goodwin returned to Arizona and joined his father's firm. In 1966, he received his licence in architecture and was made senior partner. The firm then became known as Michael & Kemper Goodwin Ltd. He took over the firm after his father retired in 1975. In 1978, he was the youngest person ever to become a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. Tempe Municipal Building
The Tempe Municipal Building is an inverted pyramid-shaped building which serves as the city hall of Tempe, Arizona. It was designed by architects Rolf Osland, Michael Goodwin and Kemper Goodwin, and built during 1969–1971. McClintock High School
McClintock High School is a high school located in Tempe, Arizona, approximately two miles southeast of the campus of Arizona State University. McClintock High School was established in 1964. The school was named after James H. McClintock. McClintock has approximately 1,900 students and offers a wide variety of curriculum, which includes honors, advanced placement, dual credit, and the Peggy Payne Academy for gifted students. The Tempe Union High School District is a school district of high schools in Tempe, Arizona, USA. Its service area includes all of Tempe, the city of Chandler, Arizona west of the Loop 101, Guadalupe, the Gila River Indian Community in Maricopa County, and the Ahwatukee area of Phoenix (the same areas served by the Tempe Elementary School District and the Kyrene School District, both of which feed into Tempe Union). Arizona State University Tempe campus is the main campus of Arizona State University, and the largest of the five campuses that comprise the university. Kayenta ( nv, ) is a U.S. town which is part of the Navajo Nation and is in Navajo County, Arizona, United States. Established November 13, 1986, the Kayenta Township is the only "township" existing under the laws of the Navajo Nation, making it unique in this way. The population was 5,189 at the 2010 census. Kayenta is located south of Monument Valley and contains a number of hotels and motels which serve visitors to Monument Valley. Like other places on the Navajo Nation, it is illegal to serve alcohol.
