Michael Fortunati
Pierre Michel Nigro (born 4 September 1955), better known as Michael Fortunati, is an Italo disco/Eurobeat singer. Biography Pierre Nigro was born in the province of Brindisi, Apulia, Italy but grew up in Hem in the north of France, where he formed the group Carré D'As in the 1970s with his brothers. They released several albums in the 1980s. Nigro then began a solo career under the pseudonym Michael Fortunati, and met success with his first record "Give Me Up", released in the summer of 1986. It was a big hit in Belgium, France and Japan. He is particularly well known in Japan, where the musical style Eurobeat is popular, and has released many albums and compilations in Japan alone. In 1987, Fortunati performed at the Tokyo Music Festival and won the Grand Prix award in the Disco & Dance Division. He has also appeared on several Japanese TV shows. Villa Castelli
Villa Castelli is a ''comune'' in the province of Brindisi in Apulia, on the south-east Italy coast. It is a comune in Salento, the borderline with Itria Valley. Its main economic activities are tourism and the growing of olives and grapes. Main sights The main attractions are the Castle (or Ducal Palace) and the church of Immacolata. The castle was built by the Orsini del Balzo in the Middle Ages but was already in ruins in the 15th century. In the 17th century the Emperor bought it and turned it into a fortress, and later it was further expanded by the Ungaro. The church was built in the 10th century in an eclectic style, with both Gothic and Romanesque features. The countryside around is home to numerous prehistoric trulli.
