Michael Foley (1948–2016) was an international relations scholar and head of the Department of International Politics at Aberystwyth University in Wales, United Kingdom. Foley held a BA from Keele University and an MA and a PhD from the University of Essex. He was the Associate Editor of the journal ''International Relations''. He died in 2016. Contribution to the presidentialisation of British politics debate Michael Foley has written two books, namely, ''The Rise of the British Presidency'' and ''The British Presidency: Tony Blair and the Politics of Public Leadership'' that deal with the presidentialisation of British politics. Mick Foley (footballer)
Mick Foley was an Ireland international footballer. Foley began his senior career with Shelbourne in Dublin but then was one of three Shelbourne players recruited by Frank Scott-Walford to play for Leeds City before the 1910–11 season, the others being George Cunningham and Joe Enright. After two seasons where he did regularly feature in the first team, Foley then broke into the left half position for the 1912/13 season and held down the place for two more seasons until World War I during which he returned to his native Dublin. Mick was again part of the Leeds side on the resumption of league football in 1918/19. But the club were wound up in October 1919 and Mick returned to Ireland to rejoin Shelbourne where he was a member of the team that were founder members of the League of Ireland in 1921. Michael Foley (born June 17, 1963) is a former member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 14th District from 2006 to 2014. Career Prior to his time in the House, Foley had worked as director of the Cleveland Tenants Organization, as well as a court administrator, bailiff and community organizer. Ohio House of Representatives When Representative Dale Miller was appointed to replace Dan Brady in the Ohio Senate, Foley was among three who sought to succeed him in the Ohio House, along with former state representative Erin Sullivan. In the end, the House Democratic Caucus chose to leave the seat open until after the May primary. The primary election proved to be very close, and Foley won the election by just ten votes. Michael Foley (born 7 June 1967 in Sydney, Australia) is a former hooker for the Australia national rugby union team and former Super Rugby head coach of the Western Force and New South Wales Waratahs teams. Foley competed in the Gladiator Individual Sports Athletes Challenge in 1995. Playing career A product of St Patrick's College, Strathfield, he represented New South Wales Schoolboys, Australian Schoolboys and NSW U21s. Foley played his club rugby for the Souths rugby club in Brisbane and, despite being born in Sydney, went on to win 111 state caps for Queensland Reds, 63 in the Super 12 competition. He made his test debut 31 May 1995 as a replacement against Canada during the 1995 Rugby World Cup. Michael Hamilton Foley (1820 – April 8, 1870) was a lawyer and political figure in Canada West. He was born in Sligo in Ireland in 1820 and came to Port Colborne in Upper Canada with his parents in 1822. He began work as a school teacher but later worked as a journalist on several newspapers while studying law. He was called to the bar in 1851. In 1854, he was elected to the 5th Parliament of the Province of Canada representing North Waterloo as a Reformer; he was reelected in 1857. In 1858, he was chosen to be postmaster general. Originally, he aligned himself with George Brown; he later opposed Brown, supporting John Sandfield Macdonald as a moderate Reformer. Later, under pressure from his constituents, he supported Brown's proposals in support of restructuring the union.
