Michael Fallon
Sir Michael Cathel Fallon (born 14 May 1952) is a British politician who served as Secretary of State for Defence from 2014 to 2017. A member of the Conservative Party (UK), Conservative Party, he served as Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Member of Parliament (MP) for Sevenoaks (UK Parliament constituency), Sevenoaks from 1997 to 2019, having previously served as MP for Darlington (UK Parliament constituency), Darlington from 1983 to 1992. Fallon attended the independent Epsom College and read Classics and Ancient History at the University of St Andrews. After university he joined the Conservative Research Department. The Department for Education and Skills (DfES) was a United Kingdom government department between 2001 and 2007, responsible for the education system (including higher education and adult learning) as well as children's services in England. Oswald O'Brien (6 April 1928 – 10 March 1997) was a British and European Labour Co-operative politician. He was one of the shortest serving Members of Parliament of modern times, serving just seven weeks and one day. Stephen James Dorrell (born 25 March 1952) is a British Liberal Democrat politician. He served as the Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) for Loughborough between 1979 and 1997 and then for Charnwood from 1997 to 2015.
