Michael Dvorak
Michael A. Dvorak (born October 24, 1948) is an American lawyer and politician who formerly served as an Indiana State Representative and the St. Joseph County, Indiana prosecutor. Early life Dvorak was born October 24, 1948 in South Bend, Indiana. Dvorak earned a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University Chicago in 1970. He earned a Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law in 1975. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1975 and the Indiana State Bar Association in 1977. Career Dvorak served as a deputy prosecutor in Modesto, California from 1975 through 1977. He worked in private legal practice from 1977 through 2002. He also worked as a public defender in South Bend, Indiana from 1977 through 1986. In 1984, Dvorak ran for the Democratic Party nomination for the 8th district seat in the Indiana House of Representatives, but lost a four-way primary election. A public defender is a lawyer appointed to represent people who otherwise cannot reasonably afford to hire a lawyer to defend themselves in a trial. Death Of Lizzy Seeberg
Lizzy Seeberg was a 19-year-old freshman at St. Mary's College when she died by suicide, after accusing a Notre Dame football player named Prince Shembo of sexual assault. After she filed a complaint with the police she received several frightening texts from a friend of the accused, including "Don't do anything you would regret, messing with Notre Dame football is a bad idea." She died by suicide that September, 10 days after making the complaint to the campus police. 13 members of the Seeberg family have attended either Notre Dame or St. Mary's. Prosecutors did not file criminal charges due to Lizzy not being alive to testify and also because of what they described as inconsistencies in witness accounts and cellphone records. The school determined that Lizzy lied because she said the player stopped attacking her after receiving a call or a text, but phone records showed that it was the accused who called his friend. Prince Shembo (born December 24, 1991) is a former American football linebacker. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Notre Dame. High school career Prince attended Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. He played in only five games during the senior campaign. An upset occurs in a competition, frequently in electoral politics or sports, when the party popularly expected to win (the "favorite"), either loses to or draws/ties a game with an underdog whom the majority expects to lose, defying the conventional wisdom.
