Michael Dormer (cricketer)
Michael Edmund Francis Dormer (22 April 1937 – 19 April 2021) was a New Zealand cricketer. A wicket-keeper, he played four first-class matches for Auckland in the 1961/62 season. Dormer was educated at Nelson College and the University of Auckland. He moved to Christchurch in the 1960s, working for the ANZ Bank and then for Independent Fisheries. He also served as the representative for the Chilean Consul in New Zealand. He was the founder of the Willows Cricket Club and its ground in Loburn, North Canterbury. Lower Hutt
Lower Hutt ( mi, Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai) is a city in the Wellington Region of New Zealand. Administered by the Hutt City Council, it is one of the four cities that constitute the Wellington metropolitan area. It is New Zealand's sixth most populous city, with a population of . The total area administered by the council is around the lower half of the Hutt Valley and along the eastern shores of Wellington Harbour, of which is urban. It is separated from the city of Wellington by the harbour, and from Upper Hutt by the Taita Gorge. Lower Hutt is unique among New Zealand cities, as the name of the council does not match the name of the city it governs. Loburn
Loburn is a rural community in North Canterbury, New Zealand, Canterbury, New Zealand. It is located ten kilometres northwest of Rangiora and nearly 50 kilometres north of Christchurch. Loburn is a small community, with no shops. Local industries include a cheese factory and orchards. Farms in the community include those raising sheep, cattle and emu. Geography Loburn is located close to the northernmost extreme of the Canterbury Plains.
