Michael Devine (footballer)
Michael Devine (born 19 March 1973) is an Irish former professional footballer. Early career Devine began playing football with Springfield FC in Cobh, County Cork, where he was capped at U15 and U16 levels, and thereafter signed for English team Middlesbrough. Devine spent four years at Ayresome Park learning his trade before he briefly moved on to Newcastle United and non-league Northallerton. He returned to Ireland to link up with Cobh Wanderers and subsequently joined League of Ireland First Division club Cobh Ramblers. League of Ireland Premier Division Devine made his Cobh debut in August 1993 as a substitute against Cork City in a League Cup tie. He joined League of Ireland Premier Division club Waterford United in 1998 and immediately impressed, later earning a then club record £30,000 transfer to Cork City. Cobh
Cobh ( ,), known from 1849 until 1920 as Queenstown, is a seaport town on the south coast of County Cork, Ireland. With a population of around 13,000 inhabitants, Cobh is on the south side of Great Island in Cork Harbour and home to Ireland's only dedicated cruise terminal. Tourism in the area draws on the maritime and emigration legacy of the town. Facing the town are Spike and Haulbowline islands. Noel Mooney
Noel Mooney (born 12 December 1976) is an Irish sports official and former footballer who is the CEO of the Football Association of Wales. Career Mooney started his career at Limerick, before moving to Cork City F.C., where he helped City capture the FAI Cup in 1998, defeating Shelbourne after a replay. During his time at Turner's Cross Mooney kept 2 clean sheets in seven European appearances. He went on to play with Shamrock Rovers, and was instrumental in keeping the Dubliners in the Premier Division in the 2004 season. Following retirement at Limerick F.C. in June 2007 he was appointed as the new Commercial Director Mooney then began working for the Football Association of Ireland, UEFA, and the Football Association of Wales. The Setanta Sports Cup was a club football competition featuring teams from both football associations on the island of Ireland. Inaugurated in 2005, it was a cross-border competition between clubs in the League of Ireland from the Republic of Ireland and the NIFL Premiership from Northern Ireland. The cup was sponsored by Setanta Sports, the Irish subscription sports television network. The competition was discontinued after the 2014 edition. The FAI Cup 2007 was the 87th staging of The Football Association of Ireland Challenge Cup or FAI Cup. It was the first FAI Cup to be sponsored by Ford.
