Michael Denkha
Michael Denkha is an Assyrian-Australian actor known for his roles in ''Get Rich Quick'', ''Stealth'', ''The Combination'', ''Down Under'' and, most recently, ''Here Come the Habibs'' TV series. Biography Born in Tehran Iran, Denkha moved to Australia at a young age, where he pursued a career in acting. Denkha, who is of Assyrian ethnicity, graduated from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a degree in performing arts (acting) in 1995. His first known appearance on television was on the 1996 TV series ''Police Rescue''. As the years followed, Denkha played roles in ''Water Rats'', '' Stingers'', ''All Saints'' and a number of TV shows throughout his career. Assyrian Australians
Assyrian Australians ( syr, ܐܵܬܘܿܪ̈ܵܝܹܐ ܕܐܘܼܣܛܪܵܠܝܼܵܐ), refers to ethnic Assyrians possessing Australian nationality. They are descended from the Northern Mesopotamian region, specifically the Assyrian homeland. Today, their homeland is a part of North Iraq, Southeast Turkey, Northwest Iran and Northeast Syria. According to the census, 40,218 persons are Assyrian, 21,166 identified themselves as having Chaldean ancestry. The majority of Assyrian Australians have immigrated from Iraq, Iran, Syria, Jordan and the Caucasus. Of the 61,400 Assyrians in Australia, 40,218 are members of the Assyrian Church of the East or Ancient Church of the East and 21,172 are members of the Chaldean Catholic Church. The Alice (film)
''The Alice'' is an Australian drama film created by Justin Monjo and Robyn Sinclair. It is set in the central outback town of Alice Springs. The made-for-TV movie was followed by a regular TV series, which proved less popular than the film and was cancelled by the Nine Network. ''White Collar Blue'' is an Australian television series made by Knapman Wyld Television for Network Ten from 2002 to 2003. ''Police Rescue'' is an Australian television series which originally aired on ABC TV between 1989 and 1996. It was produced by ABC and Southern Star Xanadu in association with the BBC. Apart from the 61 episodes, there was a 90-minute pilot episode (first screened in 1989) as well as a feature film in 1994, starring Zoe Carides. The series dealt with the New South Wales Police Rescue Squad based in Sydney and their work attending to various incidents from road accidents to train crashes.
