Michael Davey, MA FRCO LRAM ARCM is an English organist. Education He studied at the Royal College of Music where he was awarded the Sir Walford Davies first prize for Organ. He went on to read music at Cambridge University as organ scholar of Corpus Christi College. Career He was assistant organist at Chichester Cathedral between 1968 and 1971. He was appointed director of music at Wrekin College in 1971. He was also organist of St Mary the Boltons, St James the Greater, Leicester and St Martin in the Bull Ring St Martin in the Bull Ring is a Church of England parish church in the city of Birmingham, West Midlands, England. Nicholas Cleobury
Nicholas Cleobury (born 23 June 1950) is an English conductor. Cleobury was organ scholar at Worcester College, Oxford, conductor of Schola Cantorum of Oxford and held assistant organist posts at Chichester Cathedral and Christ Church, Oxford before turning to orchestral and operatic work. He is founder-laureate of the Britten Sinfonia and has been particularly active in the promotion of contemporary music. He was from 1997 to 2015 principal conductor of the Oxford Bach Choir. Cleobury's elder brother Stephen was director of music at King's College, Cambridge. Richard Seal
Richard Godfrey Seal (4 December 1935 – 19 July 2022) was an English organist and conductor. From 1968 to 1997 he served as organist and master of the choristers at Salisbury Cathedral, which in 1991 established a separate girls choir in addition to the existing boys cathedral choir, the first cathedral to do so. Family and education Seal was born Banstead, Surrey, and was a boy chorister at New College, Oxford, under Herbert Kennedy Andrews. He continued his education at Cranleigh School in Surrey and was an organ scholar at Christ's College, Cambridge. This was followed by a year's study at the Royal College of Music in London, while also serving as assistant organist at Kingsway Hall.
