Michael C. Delaney
Michael C. Delaney (November 20, 1849 – January 20, 1918) was a merchant and politician. Life He was born in Malpeque, Prince Edward Island, the son of John Delaney and Mary Quigley. Delaney sold agricultural products; his two sons later joined him in the business. In 1871, he married Altimira Jane Robinson. Delaney was an unsuccessful candidate for a seat in the provincial assembly in 1904 and 1908. He was first elected to the provincial assembly in a 1909 by-election held after Joseph Read Joseph Read (March 6, 1732 – September 22, 1801) was a soldier and a colonel in the American Revolutionary War. Malpeque Bay, Prince Edward Island
The Municipality of Malpeque Bay is a municipality that holds community status in Prince Edward Island, Canada. It is located in Prince County and Queens County. The municipality derives its name from Malpeque Bay, the second largest bay in the province which forms the municipality's western boundary. The municipality straddles several levels of geographic hierarchy in the province, including the townships of Lot 18 and Lot 20, the parishes of St. David's Parish and Grenville Parish, as well as the counties of Prince County and Queens County. The municipality's seat is in the community of Malpeque. History The area was originally settled by the Mi'kmaq around 2500 BC. The Mi'kmaq called the area "Makpaak", meaning "large bay". Acadian families arrived from Nova Scotia in 1728 and settled on the west shore of Malpeque Bay, north of present-day Miscouche, naming their settlement "Malpèque" after the Mi'kmaq name. Prince Edward Island

Legislative Assembly Of Prince Edward Island
The Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island (french: Assemblée législative de l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard) is the sole chamber of the General Assembly of Prince Edward Island. The Legislative Assembly meets at Province House, which is located at the intersection of Richmond and Great George Streets in Charlottetown. Joseph Read (Canadian Politician)
Joseph Read (October 31, 1849 – April 6, 1919) was a Canadian merchant, ship owner and political figure on Prince Edward Island. He represented 4th Prince in the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 1900 to 1909 and Prince in the House of Commons of Canada from 1917 to 1919 as a Liberal. He was born in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, the son of Ephraim Read and Rosara Chappell, and was educated there. After high school, he attended Ion's Nautical School in Liverpool, England. He later became a master mariner, commanding a number of large ships owned by John Lefurgey. In 1877, he married Sarah Carruthers. Read later served as shipping master and port warden at Summerside. Read served in the province's Executive Council from 1904 to 1905. His election in 1908 was disputed due to questions about the eligibility of some votes.
