Michael Burgess (cricketer)
Michael Gregory Kerran Burgess (born 8 July 1994) is an English cricketer who plays for Warwickshire County Cricket Club. A wicketkeeper batsman, Burgess came through the Surrey Academy, making a total of 31 appearances at 2nd XI level between 2011 and 2013. He was educated at Homefield Preparatory and Cranleigh School in Surrey, and at Loughborough University, where he obtained an Upper Second Class honours BSc in Sports and Exercise Science. Burgess made his first-class cricket debut for Loughborough MCCU against Sussex at Hove. In April 2015 in a non first-class game Burgess scored 116 against a Kent attack including first XI players Matt Coles and Adam Riley. Later than year he made his List A cricket debut for Leicestershire vs. Northamptonshire, in his second list A match he was again run out on 49 vs. Gloucestershire. Epsom
Epsom is the principal town of the Borough of Epsom and Ewell in Surrey, England, about south of central London. Loughborough MCC University (previously known as Loughborough University Centre of Cricketing Excellence) is a cricket coaching centre based at Loughborough University in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England, and the name under which the university's cricket team plays. The former Loughborough University Centre of Cricketing Excellence played 27 first-class matches from 2001 to 2009. As Loughborough Marylebone Cricket Club University, the team has played fourteen first-class matches from 2010 to 2015. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Nottinghamshire. The club's limited overs team is called the Notts Outlaws. The county club was founded in 1841, although teams had played first-class cricket under the Nottinghamshire name since 1835. The Sri Lanka national cricket team toured England from 8 May to 5 July 2016 for a three-match Test series, a five-match One Day International (ODI) series and a one-off Twenty20 International (T20I) against the England cricket team.
