Michael Bauer (born 1973, Erkelenz, Germany) is an artist based in Cologne. Bauer has shown his paintings in many group exhibitions including "Das Kabinet" at Galerie Hammelehle und Ahrens , Cologne, "Superschloss" at Stadtische Galerie, Wolfsburg and "Brotherslasher" (with Jonathan Meese). He represented by Marc Foxx in Los Angeles and Hotel in London. His work has been seen in eight solo exhibitions and in group exhibitions in Europe and America since 1999. Michael Gerard Bauer (born 1955 in Brisbane) is an Australian full-time children's and young adult author, and was formerly an English teacher. Biography Bauer was born in Brisbane and attended Marist College Ashgrove before attending the University of Queensland. He completed an Arts Degree with a triple Major in English literature and became a teacher of Economics and English in Brisbane and Ipswich secondary schools. In 2003, Bauer won the inaugural Writesmall Short Story competition at the Brisbane Writers Festival. Bauer lives in Brisbane Queensland. '' The Running Man'', his first novel was well received, winning the 2005 CBCA Book of the Year for Older Readers; was listed as one of the top 10 books for young adults for 2004 in Magpies magazine; and was short-listed for the 2005 NSW Premier's Award, Victorian Premier's Award, and the 2006 South Australian Festival Awards for Literature. Michael Bauer (born August 14, 1980) is an American former professional basketball player. In 6 EuroChallenge appearances with Oostende, Bauer averaged 11.2 points per game. Previously, he has played professionally with Deutsche Bank Skyliners in Germany and Nancy, Roanne, and Pau-Orthez in France. He debuted professionally for Luxembourg club BBC Amicale Steinsel for the 2004–05 season. He was an all-star in Ligue Nationale de Basketball in 2006 while with Roanne. Bauer is from Hastings, where he attended Hastings High School. Bauer played collegiate basketball for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. He held the several Gophers records for three-point shooting at the conclusion of his career. Mike Bauer (born June 29, 1959) is a retired American tour professional tennis player. Bauer won three singles and nine top-tier doubles titles during his career. He reached a career high singles ranking of world No. 29 in November 1984. Career An All-American in 1981 at University of California, Berkeley, Bauer won the 1982 Bangkok Grand Prix and 1982 and 1983 South Australian Open. He was also a finalist at the 1983 Sydney Outdoor Grand Prix. He reached the semi-finals in five other tournaments during his career. His best Grand Slam result was reaching the 3rd round of Wimbledon in 1983 where he lost to eventual finalist Chris Lewis. He reached the second round of the U.S. Open twice in four tries. Johann Michael Bauer (24 November 1895 – 15 February 1943) was a highly decorated Oberst in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Michael Bauer suffered a stroke on 3 February 1943 and died on 15 February 1943 in Sclobodka, Russia.
