Michael Ball
Michael Ashley Ball (born 27 June 1962) is an English singer, presenter and actor. He made his West End debut in 1985 playing Marius Pontmercy in the original London production of ''Les Misérables'', and went on to star in 1987 as Raoul in ''The Phantom of the Opera''. In 1989, he reached number two in the UK Singles Chart with " Love Changes Everything", a song taken from the musical ''Aspects of Love'', where he played Alex. He played the role in London and on Broadway. His album ''Coming Home To You'' reached number one in the UK making it his 4th number one album to date. On 24 April 2020, Ball and Captain Tom Moore entered the UK Singles Chart at number one with a cover of "You'll Never Walk Alone", with combined chart sales of 82,000 making it the fastest-selling single of 2020. Richard Kerr (songwriter)
Richard Buchanan Kerr (born 14 December 1944) is an English singer-songwriter and composer, who co-wrote " Mandy", "Looks Like We Made It" and " Somewhere in the Night" (all of which became hit singles for Barry Manilow) and " I'll Never Love This Way Again", for Dionne Warwick. Career Kerr began his education at Bedford School. After gaining an interest in music at school he went into songwriting. In the UK, he collaborated with musicians in the late 1960s and early 1970s such as Peter Green, Don Partridge and Scott English. The latter pairing resulted in the song " Brandy", which English released in 1971. This song later become a worldwide hit under the title " Mandy" for Barry Manilow in 1974, although Don Partridge's "Blue Eyes" was Kerr's first hit as a songwriter. Douglas Jackson Flett (13 October 1935 – 15 July 2019) was an Australian songwriter based in the UK, best known for his collaborations with longtime songwriting partner, Guy Fletcher. Collectively, the duo have also been known as Fletcher & Flett. Since the mid-1960s, they wrote and composed hit songs for many artists. Career Before moving to London in the early 1960s, Flett had worked in Sydney as a TV cameraman and in advertising. While in London, he was introduced to Guy Fletcher in 1965 by Shadows drummer Tony Meehan through a phone call, and the two met up. Guy Fletcher (songwriter)
Mervyn Guy Fletcher (born 21 April 1944) is an English record producer, singer and songwriter who, in partnership with Doug Flett, wrote several hits for other artists. As a singer, he had a small hit in the Netherlands and other European countries with the song, "Mary in the Morning" (1971). Fletcher was chairman of PRS for Music from 1 January 2011 until 31 December 2016. Life and career Fletcher was born on 21 April 1944 in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. He was educated at Sir Joseph Williamson's Mathematical School. He worked as a session singer for the record producer Joe Meek, and as a jazz trumpet player. Peter John Sinfield (born 27 December 1943) is an English poet and songwriter. He is best known as the co-founder and former lyricist of King Crimson, whose debut album ''In the Court of the Crimson King'' is considered one of the first and most influential progressive rock albums ever released. Sinfield's lyrics are known for their surreal imagery, often involving common fantasy concepts, nature, or the sea. They often also deal with emotional concepts and, sometimes, storyline concepts.
