Michael Avedon
Michael Patrick Avedon (born January 16, 1991) is an American photographer living in New York City. Avedon works commercially as a fashion photographer and makes portraits for his personal work – including an ongoing series of artists in their studios. Avedon began experimenting with photography in 2006, and in 2012 was named in ''Forbess "30 Under 30" list of up-and-coming artists. In the spring of 2013 he graduated from the International Center of Photography. He has worked for Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, ''Harper's Bazaar,'' CR Fashion Book, and ''Dazed.'' He is the grandson of Richard Avedon on his father's side, and Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan on his mother's side. The West Memphis Three are three men convicted as teenagers in 1994 of the 1993 murders of three boys in West Memphis, Arkansas, United States. Damien Echols was capital punishment, sentenced to death, Jessie Misskelley Jr. to life imprisonment plus two 20-year sentences, and Jason Baldwin to life imprisonment. During the trial, the prosecution asserted that the juveniles killed the children as part of a Satanic ritual abuse, Satanic ritual.
