Michael Scott Alexander (born 1970) is an associate professor and Maimonides Endowed Chair in Jewish Studies in the religious studies department of the University of California, Riverside. Michael Alexander (bishop)
Michael Solomon Alexander (1 May 1799 – 23 November 1845) was the first Anglican Bishop in Jerusalem. Life He was the second son and one of five children born to Alexander Wolff. His ancestors may have come to Prussia from England, or may have been in Schönlanke for many generations. His education in the Talmud began when he was seven years old, and from age sixteen to twenty, he was a teacher in his community of both Talmud and the German language. He emigrated to England in about 1820, and became a private tutor for a Jewish family in Colchester. Then he became rabbi at Norwich. Here he came into contact with William Marsh, a stalwart of the ''London Society for Promoting Christianity Amongst the Jews'' (now known as the Church's Ministry Among Jewish People or CMJ). Michael Alexander (British Army Officer)
Michael Charles Alexander (20 November 1920 – 19 December 2004) was a British Army officer, a World War II Prisoner of War held captive at Oflag IV-C, and later a writer. Alexander was commissioned into the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry from Sandhurst. He joined the Commandos and later the Special Boat Service (SBS), a special forces unit that was created in 1940. The SBS was charged with a variety of classified tasks, including reconnaissance and sabotage. Alexander was promoted to Lieutenant in 1941. The capture Working for the SBS, Alexander was a 21 year old lieutenant (and temporary captain) stationed in Alexandria, Egypt during the summer of 1942. As Alexander later described the episode, he and 20 others were assigned a mission to blow up a munitions dump behind enemy lines. Sir Michael O'Donel Bjarne Alexander (19 June 1936 – 1 June 2002) was a British diplomat. He was the foreign policy secretary to Margaret Thatcher and the UK ambassador to NATO. Alexander was the son of Hugh Alexander, the Anglo-Irish mathematician famed for his work at Bletchley Park. Michael spent much of his youth in his father's native Ireland. He was educated at Foyle College in Derry and, later, at St Paul's School, London, and King's College, Cambridge. He competed as a fencer for Great Britain at the 1960 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal in the team épée event. Evile are an English thrash metal band from Huddersfield, formed in 2004. They have experienced numerous line-up changes over the years, with drummer Ben Carter being the only member of the original line-up to have stayed consistently. The current line-up consists of Carter, lead guitarist and vocalist Ol Drake, bassist Joel Graham, and rhythm guitarist Adam Smith, who replaced Drake's older brother Matt in 2020.
