Michael-Hakim Jordan
Michael-Hakim Jordan (born June 24, 1977), is an American basketball coach and former professional player who was formerly the men's basketball head coach of the Lafayette Leopards men's basketball team. Playing career After starring at the Abington Friends School, Jordan moved on to a college basketball career at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was the 1999–2000 Ivy League Player of the Year as a senior. While playing for the Quakers, Jordan was part of two Ivy League regular-season titles and appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 1999 and 2000. The 6'0" (1.83 m) point guard then went on to try out in semi-professional leagues such as the USBL, the IBL and the NRL. United States Basketball League
The United States Basketball League (USBL) was a professional men's spring basketball league. The league was formed in 1985 and ceased operations in 2008. The USBL started in 1985 as one of the first basketball leagues to play a late-spring to early-summer schedule. The league quickly became known as a development league for players, with many players moving up to the National Basketball Association, NBA and many more playing in Europe after stints here. In 1996, the league made a stock offering, a rarity among sports leagues. However, in later years, the league declined as rival leagues appeared and USBL had a tougher time replacing teams that folded. The Ivy League Men's Basketball Player of the Year is a basketball award given to the Ivy League's most outstanding player. The award was first given following the 1974–75 season. There have been six players honored on two occasions: Craig Robinson, Kit Mueller, Jerome Allen, Ugonna Onyekwe, Ibrahim Jaaber and Justin Sears. No player has ever won the award three times. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage.
