Miami Fashion Week (MIAFW) is an annual fashion week held in Miami, Florida, United States. Miami Fashion Week, not to be confused with the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Miami or Miami Swim Week, takes place every year the first week of June. Miami Fashion Week was started in 1998 and is the world's largest fashion week for Latin American and the Caribbean fashion designers. Relaunch In May 2015 the company was acquired by The Fashion Shows, LLC and developed an innovative strategic relaunching plan. Miami Fashion Week since 2016 has been considered the second largest fashion event in the United States. The brand then welcomed Antonio Banderas as its Honorary President. Following the relaunch of Miami Fashion Week, the brand had a clear focus on debuting resort collections of established and emerging international designers.
