Mia Davies
Mia Jane Davies (born 3 November 1978) is an Australian politician who is the current Leader of the Opposition and leader of the National Party in Western Australia. She has been a member of the state Legislative Assembly since 2013, having previously served in the Legislative Council from 2009 to 2013. Davies was elected deputy leader of the Nationals in November 2013, and replaced Brendon Grylls as leader in March 2017 following his defeat at the 2017 state election. As a result of the Liberal Party's electoral wipeout at the 2021 state election, she became leader of the opposition after Premier Mark McGowan gave her party the official opposition party funding, the first member of her party to hold the role since Arthur Watts in 1947. Max Trenorden
Maxwell Wayne Trenorden (born 1 August 1948 in Wyalkatchem, Western Australia) is an Australian politician. He was a Nationals member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly from 1986 to September 2008, representing the electorate of Avon. Trenorden was elected as the Nationals member for the Agricultural region in the Legislative Council in 2008. Educated in Wyalkatchem Primary then later at Scotch College, Perth, Trenorden worked as a farmer in his early years before spending 18 years as an insurance agent and broker. Trenorden regained the seat of Avon from Ken McIver (ALP) in 1986 and has been successful in holding the seat since. Dexter Davies
Dexter Melvyn Davies (10 April 1951 – 17 March 2018) was an Australian politician. Davies was born in Kellerberrin, Western Australia, and was a farmer and consultant before entering politics. He also played Australian rules football at a high level, appearing in 14 games for in the Western Australian National Football League (WANFL) between the 1969 and 1971 WANFL seasons. In 1998, Davies was elected to the Western Australian Legislative Council in a countback as a National Party member for Agricultural. He was defeated in 2001. Minister for Water is a position in the government of Western Australia, currently held by Dave Kelly of the Labor Party. The position was first created in 1913, for the government of John Scaddan, and has existed in almost every government since then. Michael Philip Murray (born 26 November 1949) is an Australian former politician who was a Labor member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly from February 2001 to March 2021. He represented the electorate of Collie from 2001 to 2005 and the electorate of Collie-Preston from 2005 to 2021. Growing up in the small town of Duranillin in the Shire of West Arthur, Murray attended the local primary school before moving to Collie with his parents and completing his education in local state schools.
