"Mi Deseo" (English: ''My Wish'') is a song by Mexican Grupero band Los Bukis. It was written and produced by the band’s main songwriter and lead vocalist Marco Antonio Solís and was released by Fonovisa Records on February 11, 1991, as the lead single from the band’s 13rd studio album ''A Través de Tus Ojos'' (1991). The song became their third number-one single in the ''Billboard'' Top Latin Songs chart, after "Y Ahora Te Vas "Y Ahora Te Vas" ( en, italic=yes, And Now You Leave) is a song written and produced by Mexican singer and songwriter, Marco Antonio Solís. It was performed by him as the lead singer of Los Bukis. It was released as the second single from his 11 ..." and " Cómo Fui a Enamorarme de Ti". Los Bukis
Los Bukis (The Bukis, ''buki'' translates as ''Little Kid'' in the Yaqui language) are a Mexican Grupera band from Ario de Rosales, Michoacan. In 1973, the band was founded by cousins Marco Antonio Solís and Joel Solís. Their first song was ''Falso Amor'' ("False Love") and its style became popular throughout Latin America. Marco Antonio wrote the songs; the album "Me Volvi a Acordar de Ti" in the year of 1986 sold one million records in just a few weeks after its launch, earning the album "diamond" status. He also wrote and produced albums for artists such as Marisela, Rocío Dúrcal, Beatriz Adriana, Lucero, El Pegasso de Emilio Reyna (now using the name El Pega Pega), and María Sorté. After twenty years of success, in 1996, Marco decided to pursue a solo career. The band disbanded. The Lo Nuestro Award for Pop Song of the Year is an honor presented annually by American television network Univision at the Lo Nuestro Awards. The accolade was established to recognize the most talented performers of Latin music.
