Mi-Ke
Mi-Ke were an award-winning J-Pop idol group in the early 1990s. Formed as the chorus group for B.B.Queens under Being Inc. recording agency, they had several singles which made the music charts, and released a number of albums. Their music and onstage image were reminiscent of the 1960s. They also did a number of cover versions of older songs (some in English, some as Japanese translations) from the Beach Boys and from British Invasion groups. The name ''Mi-Ke'' is a Japanese phrase meaning "three colors," commonly used for multicolored cats. Costumes used in performances usually featured different colors or styles. Keiko Utoku
is a Japanese singer and songwriter under UK Sweet label. Biography Keiko made her debut with a chorus part in the band B.B.Queens then joined with J-pop female band Mi-Ke from 1991 to 1993, before starting a solo career. As a child, Utoku listened to a lot of music, including music made by Momoe Yamaguchi. Masatoshi Ono
, also known as Sho, is a Japanese rock/heavy metal singer-songwriter and vocal coach. Ono got his start in the 1980s as vocalist of the heavy metal band Fort Bragg. In 1992, he released his first solo single, "Pure ni Nare", on Sony Records. It was not until his third single, "You're the Only...", that he began to receive notable attention. The single helped Ono win the "Rookie of the Year" award at the 34th Japan Record Awards and an invitation to that year's ''Kōhaku Uta Gassen''. In 2009, Ono became the vocalist of the power metal band Galneryus. His first single in eight years, "Departure!", was used as the opening theme song for the 2011 ''Hunter × Hunter'' anime. Masao Akashi
is a Japanese musical arranger in distributors Being Inc., mainly in their label B-Gram Records. In 1988, he debuted as arranger in debut single " Dakara Sono Te o Hanashite" by Japanese hard-rock band B'z. Daisuke Ikeda (arranger)
is a Japanese musical arranger and keyboardist in distributors Being Inc. Biography In 1990s Ikeda entered to Being Inc. agency where he provided arrangement and strings arrangement for several of famous artist including Zard, Deen, Field of View or Mi-ke. Ikeda was also involved with arranging famous Anime song Moonlight Densetsu by Dali under alias name ''Ikeda Daisuke'' (池田大輔). Kōhaku Uta Gassen
, more commonly known simply as ''Kōhaku'', is an annual New Year's Eve television special produced by Japanese public broadcaster NHK. It is broadcast live simultaneously on television and radio, nationally and internationally by the NHK network and by some overseas (mainly cable) broadcasters who buy the program. The show ends shortly before midnight. Before the show began broadcasting on television in late 1953, the show was held on 3 January and only consisted of a radio broadcast. The program divides the most popular music artists of the year into competing teams of red and white. The "red" team or is composed of all female artists (or groups with female vocals), while the "white" team or is all male (or groups with male vocals).
