Mexico Cricket Association
Mexico is an Associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Mexico joined the ICC as an Affiliate in 2004 and became an associate member in 2017. Mexico is included in the ICC Americas region. The Mexico Cricket Association is the official governing organ for cricket in Mexico and it is based at the Reforma Athletic Club, Reforma San Pablo, San Juan Totoltepec, Naucalpan de Juarez, State of Mexico (part of the Mexico City Metropolitan Area). The Mexican cricket season runs from late September to late May. There is a 20-over league in which four teams - Mexico Union Cricket Club, Aztecs, Aguilas, and Reforma - compete for the Lincoln Clarke Trophy. 20-over social games are held, including an Ambassador's Cup, Cricketers vs Footballers, India vs Pakistan, ANZAC Day, and Asia vs Rest of the World. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the world governing body of cricket. The International Cricket Council (ICC) was founded at Lord's on 15 June 1909 as the Imperial Cricket Conference, with Australia, England, and South Africa as its founding members. In the beginning, only countries within the Commonwealth could join. India, New Zealand and the West Indies joined in 1926, and Pakistan joined in 1953. In 1961, South Africa resigned from the Conference due to their leaving the Commonwealth, but they continued to play Test cricket until their international exile in 1970. ICC Americas
ICC Americas is an international body which oversees cricket in countries in the Americas. It is a subordinate body to the International Cricket Council (ICC). The organisation currently has 17 members, located in Northern America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, and is responsible for the development, promotion and administration of the game in the above regions. ICC Americas oversees the regional qualification tournaments for the Cricket World Cup, the Women's Cricket World Cup, the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, and the Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Previously it ran the ICC Americas Championship as the premier international competition in the region. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Tequisquiapan
Tequisquiapan (; Otomi: Ntʼe) is a town and municipality located in the southeast of the state of Querétaro in central Mexico. Mexico National Cricket Team
The Mexican national cricket team represents the country of Mexico in international cricket. They became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2004 and their international debut was in 2006 against Costa Rica. The team made their ICC Americas Championship debut in June 2010 and in 2011 participated in the ICC Americas Division 3 tournament in Costa Rica. Mexico has also participated in the South American Championship in 2014 and 2018 winning both the time. In 2017, they became an associate member. In April 2018, the ICC decided to grant full Twenty20 International (T20I) status to all its members. Marylebone Cricket Club
Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is a cricket club founded in 1787 and based since 1814 at Lord's Cricket Ground, which it owns, in St John's Wood, London. The club was formerly the governing body of cricket retaining considerable global influence. In 1788, the MCC took responsibility for the laws of cricket, issuing a revised version that year.
