Animated Films
Animation is a method by which still figures are manipulated to appear as moving images. In traditional animation, images are drawn or painted by hand on transparent celluloid sheets to be photographed and exhibited on film. Today, most animations are made with computer-generated imagery (CGI). Computer animation can be very detailed 3D animation, while 2D computer animation (which may have the look of traditional animation) can be used for stylistic reasons, low bandwidth, or faster real-time renderings. Other common animation methods apply a stop motion technique to two- and three-dimensional objects like paper cutouts, puppets, or clay figures. A cartoon is an animated film, usually a short film, featuring an exaggerated visual style. The style takes inspiration from comic strips, often featuring anthropomorphic animals, superheroes, or the adventures of human protagonists. ''Legend Quest: The Legend of La Nahuala'' (released in Latin America as ''La Leyenda de la Nahuala'') is a 2007 Mexican animated horror comedy film released in theaters on 1 November 2007 in Mexico. It was the fourth animated feature film in Mexico to be released, and the first to be exhibited in DTS. The film was a box-office success on its opening weekend, grossing a total of $42.2 million pesos (US$4.03 million). It was produced by Soco Aguilar and Ricardo Arnaiz and directed by Arnaíz. It was later released direct-to-video in the United States in 2008. The film is currently one of the most watched on Netflix (2022). ''Gaturro'' is an Argentine comic strip created by cartoonist Cristian Dzwonik ("Nik"). The comic has been published in more than 50 books, magazines and comic volumes. A 3D computer-animated film of the same name was released theatrically in Argentina on September 9, 2010. Synopsis Gaturro is a brown cat with yellow cheeks. The series is about the life of a cat, named like the strip, who is in love with another cat called Ágatha. However, she is not interested in him. Gaturro does not speak; he just thinks. John Hubley
John Kirkham Hubley (May 21, 1914 – February 21, 1977) was an American animation director, art director, producer and writer known for his work with the United Productions of America , United Productions of America (UPA) and his own independent studio, Storyboard, Inc. (later renamed Hubley Studio). A pioneer and innovator in the Animation in the United States in the television era, American animation industry, Hubley pushed for more visually and emotionally complex films than those being produced by contemporaries like the The Walt Disney Company, Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros. Animation, Warner Brothers Animation. He and his second wife, Faith Hubley (neé Chestman), with whom he directed alongside from 1959 onward, were nominated for seven Academy Awards, winning three. Millard Kaufman
Millard Kaufman (March 12, 1917 – March 14, 2009) was an American screenwriter and novelist. His works include the Academy Award-nominated ''Bad Day at Black Rock'' (1955). He was also one of the creators of Mr. Magoo. Early life Kaufman was born and raised in Baltimore and graduated from the Baltimore City College (high school). He eventually graduated from Johns Hopkins University after work as a merchant seaman. After that, he moved to New York City, taking a job as copyboy for the ''New York Daily News''. At some point, he married Lorraine Paisley. The Otra is the largest river in the Sørlandet region of Norway.
