Lloyd Metzler
Lloyd Appleton Metzler (1913 – 26 October 1980) was an American economist best known for his contributions to international trade theory. He was born in Lost Springs, Kansas in 1913. Although most of his career was spent at the University of Chicago, he was not a member of the Chicago school, but rather a Keynesian. Lloyd was the youngest of three sons of Leroy and Lulu Appleton Metzler, who were both schoolteachers and both had college degrees. All three of the boys attended the University of Kansas at Lawrence. Leroy was a civil engineer, and Donald became the head of the engineering department and served as mayor of Lawrence. Lloyd was heading for a degree and career in business until he fell under the tutelage of John Ise, who convinced him to switch to economics, and who was a lifelong hero. Kurt Laurenz Metzler (born 26 January 1941), Signature "KLM", is a Swiss people, Swiss sculptor. His artworks adorned many Swiss cities, mostly in public places. Life Metzler was born 1941 in Balgach, St. Gallen. In School, Metzler already was working creatively, using pieces of wood and cardboard. He wanted to become an artist. Because he lost his father, he temporarily grew up at his uncle’s, Florian Metzler, who was a painter. Metzler’s Mother warned him that sculpture was an unstable business, so he decided to become an architectural draftsman, decorator and photographer. In 1958, he enrolled himself to the „Schule für Gestaltung“, an artistic school of Zurich He got his sculptor’s diploma in 1963. He commanded the U-boats and , and was recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross of Nazi Germany. Louis Metzler (February 18, 1864 – October 9, 1929) was an American auditor, bookkeeper and Republican politician who served one term as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, representing the 10th Milwaukee County district (the 10th Ward of the City of Milwaukee).
