Metti Oli () was an Indian Tamil-language soap opera that aired on weekdays on Sun TV for 811 episodes. The show starred Delhi Kumar, Kaveri, Gayathri, Vanaja, Uma, Chetan, Bose Venkat, Neelima Rani, Thirumurugan, Shanti Williams and Deepa Venkat. It was produced by Cine Times Entertainment S. Siddique, and written and directed by Thirumurugan. The serial has been followed by ''Muhurtham'' of Cine Times Entertainment. Plot The story is about Chidambaram, and about his 5 daughters, who faces various challenges in life. Chidambaram is a real-estate broker from a small village called Azhagarkulam. He has 5 daughters, Dhanalakshmi (Dhanam), Saroja (Saro), Leelavathi (Leela), Vijayalakshmi (Viji) and Bhavani. Thirumurugan (director)
Thirumurugan is an Indian Tamil language, Tamil film and television director. He holds a Guinness World Record for the longest continuous camera shot. Career Thirumurugan, a Kollywood director, began his career on television in Doordarshan with the teleserial ''Gokulam Colony''. He then directed and acted in ''Metti Oli''. His entry into the Kollywood film industry was with ''Em Magan'' (2006), which was also much talked about. After the success of ''Em Magan'', he partnered with actor Bharath, in a film titled ''Muniyandi Vilangial Moonramandu''. He also directed the drama, ''Nadhaswaram (TV series), Nadhaswaram'' where he also played the role of the lead actor. Chelladurai (1941 - 7 February 2015) was an Indian comedian who worked in Tamil-language films. He acted in over 350 films. Career Chelladurai made his film debut with ''Thooral Ninnu Pochchu'' (1982). He is known for his comic sequences with actor Vadivelu. He became famous for his role in '' Shree'' (2002) as the owner of a wine shop named Prabha. In the scene, Marimuthu (Vadivelu) calls the owner and asks when the shop will open. The owner tells him that the store closed. Vadivelu drinks alcohol and repeatedly disturbs the shop owner during the night. Death Chelladurai was admitted to Keezhpakkam Government Hospital in Chennai due to kidney issues on 8 February after having problems for several months. He died on 7 February 2015 due to high blood pressure.
