Chapultepec is a metro station, station on the Mexico City Metro. It is located in the Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City, Cuauhtémoc borough in the center of Mexico City. In 2019, the station had an average ridership of 57,873 passengers per day, making it the 14th busiest station in the network. General information The station logo depicts a grasshopper (''chapulín''). The station's name comes from the Chapultepec, Bosque de Chapultepec, a large nearby park that contains a hill with the same name. Chapultepec means "grasshopper hill" in Nahuatl. The station was opened on 5 September 1969 with service eastward to Metro Sevilla, Sevilla, when Chapultepec served as the western terminus of Line 1. Mexico City Metro Line 1
Mexico City Metro Line 1 is one of the twelve metro lines operating in Mexico City, Mexico. Officially inaugurated in 1969, it went to become the first metro line to be built in the country. Its identifying color is pink and it runs through the city from west to east. Torre Mayor
The Torre Mayor (literally "Major Tower") is a skyscraper in Mexico City, Mexico. With a height of 225 meters (738 feet) to the top floor and 55 stories, it is the third tallest building in Mexico. It was surpassed in height by Torre BBVA Bancomer in 2015, which in turn was surpassed by Torre Reforma. From its completion in 2003 until 2010 (when it was surpassed by the residential 236 meter (774 ft) high Ocean Two in Panama City, Panama) it was also the tallest building in Latin America. The Torre Mayor was developed by Canadian businessman Paul Reichmann, who also maintained part ownership until his death in 2013. It is also part-owned by a group of institutional investors. The Mexican Institute of Social Security ( es, Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social, IMSS) is a governmental organization that assists public health, pensions and social security in Mexico operating under the Secretariat of Health. Colonia Roma
Colonia Roma, also called La Roma or simply, Roma, is a district located in the Cuauhtémoc borough of Mexico City just west of the city's historic center, and in fact is no longer a single '' colonia'' (neighbourhood) but now two officially defined ones, Roma Norte and Roma Sur, divided by Coahuila street. The colonia was planned as an upper-class Porfirian neighborhood in the early twentieth century. By the 1940s, it had become a middle-class neighborhood in slow decline, with the downswing being worsened by the 1985 Mexico City earthquake. Since the 2000s, the area has seen increasing gentrification. Colonia Juárez, Mexico City
Colonia Juárez is one of the better–known neighborhoods or colonias in the Cuauhtémoc borough of Mexico City. The neighborhood is shaped like a long triangle with the boundaries: Paseo de la Reforma on the north, Avenida Chapultepec on the south, and Eje 1 Poniente (Avenida Bucareli) on the east. It is located between the historic center of Mexico City and the Chapultepec Park area, just south of the Paseo de la Reforma, which is one of Mexico's main commercial districts and its financial center. San Miguel Chapultepec is a colonia or neighborhood in Delegación Miguel Hidalgo in Mexico City. In Mexico, the neighborhoods of large metropolitan areas are known as colonias. One theory suggests that the name, which literally means colony, arose in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when one of the first urban developments outside Mexico City's core was built by a French immigrant colony. Unlike neighborhoods in the United States, ''colonias'' in Mexico City have a specific name which is used in all official documents and postal addresses. Metro El Rosario
El Rosario () is an at-grade station on the Mexico City Metro. It is located in Azcapotzalco borough, in the northern reaches of Mexico City. It serves as the terminal for both Lines 6 and 7. General information The station logo depicts a set of rosary beads. The platforms for lines 6 and 7 are at the same level, separated only by a bridge. This terminal, like many others, is multimodal, connecting to other kinds of transport. Metro El Rosario connects with suburban buses that serve municipalities such as Cuautitlán Izcalli and Lechería, in neighboring Mexico State. It also connects with trolleybus Line "I", which runs between El Rosario and Metro Chapultepec.
