Metro Barranca Del Muerto
Barranca del Muerto is the southern terminus of Line 7 of the Mexico City Metro. It is located in the Álvaro Obregón borough. In 2019, the station had an average ridership of 45,703 passengers per day, making it the busiest station in Line 7. Name and pictogram The metro station is named after Avenida Barranca del Muerto, which was once a big depression, the same length as the actual avenue ''(barranca'' means gully or ravine). During the Mexican Revolution (1910–1921) this was a place where revolutionary soldiers dropped many corpses. Eagles and buzzards flew nearby, smelling rotten flesh. Popular imagination refers to the dead people's souls and ghosts restlessly promenading near that big hole. Thus, Barranca del Muerto means "Canyon of the Dead". Metro Mixcoac
Mixcoac is a station on Line 7 and Line 12 of the Mexico City Metro. The station serves both lines as a transfer station and as the northwestern terminus of Line 12. In 2019, the station had an average total ridership of 54,963 passengers per day. History The station opened on 19 December 1985 as part of the third stage of Line 7. In 2012, with the inauguration of Line 12, Mixcoac became a transfer station, as well as the temporary terminus of the mentioned line. An extension of Line 12 from Mixcoac to Observatorio is under construction, projected to be finished by 2020. By that time, Mixcoac will no longer work as the western terminus of Line 12. Metro El Rosario
El Rosario () is an at-grade station on the Mexico City Metro. It is located in Azcapotzalco borough, in the northern reaches of Mexico City. It serves as the terminal for both Lines 6 and 7. General information The station logo depicts a set of rosary beads. The platforms for lines 6 and 7 are at the same level, separated only by a bridge. This terminal, like many others, is multimodal, connecting to other kinds of transport. Metro El Rosario connects with suburban buses that serve municipalities such as Cuautitlán Izcalli and Lechería, in neighboring Mexico State. San Ángel
San Ángel is a Colonia (Mexico), colonia or neighborhood of Mexico City, located in the southwest in Álvaro Obregón, D.F., Álvaro Obregón borough. Historically, it was a rural community, called Tenanitla in the pre-Hispanic period. Its current name is derived from the El Carmen monastery school called San Ángel Mártir.
