Metline
Metline ( aeb, الماتلين ) is a commune and town on the Mediterranean coast, in the Bizerte Governorate of northern Tunisia. As of 2004, it had a population of 7,370. It is located approximately north of Tunis, southeast of Bizerte and northwest of Ras Jebel. The commune of Metline occupies a peninsula extending between the mountains, the sea and the forest, with a coastline of more than . Cape Zebib is to the northeast. The commune was created on May 3, 1967. History Founded in the sixteenth century, there are traces also of a Roman city, Benvenutum, as well as ninth century strongholds from the times of the Aghlabids dynasty. Metline fought against the Spanish during the 1534 and 1574 conquests. Ottoman soldiers settled in the area thereafter and may have lent the name Metline to the town as many of the soldiers were from Mytilene, Greece. Cape Zebib
Cape Zebib (french: Cap Zebib; ar, رأس زبيب, ''Ras Zebib'') is a headland in northern Tunisia near the town of Metline. The bay between Cape Guardia and Cape Zebib has the sandy Skala Beach; Skala was also an ancient port. Bizerte stands on the lowest part of the coast, which thence gradually rises to the cape. Jebel Kshapta is to the south-west of the cape. Cape Zebib sits at the eastern extremity of Bizerte Road. Here, there are two cones high. Near the extremity of the cape, there is a small community. Cani Rocks, north/north-eastward from Cape Zebib, consist of two islets scarcely separated, extending 6 cables in a north-easterly and south-westerly direction, with outlying rocks and shoal patches. To the south-eastward of Cape Zebib, the coast is low with some cliffs and small beaches. El Alia
El Alia is a town and commune in the Bizerte Governorate, Tunisia. It was the ancient Uzalis in the Roman province of Africa Proconsularis, which became a Christian bishopric that is included in the Catholic Church's list of titular sees. It is not to be confused with El Alia Cemetery, which is in Algeria. History This city has existed since Roman times. Centracanthidae
The Sparidae are a family (biology), family of fish in the order Perciformes, commonly called sea breams and porgies. The Sheepshead (Archosargus), sheepshead, scup, and red seabream are species in this family. Most sparids are deep-bodied compressed fish with a small mouth separated by a broad space from the eye, a single dorsal fin with strong spines and soft rays, a short anal fin, long pointed pectoral fins and rather large firmly attached scales. They are found in shallow temperate and tropical waters and are bottom-dwelling carnivores. There are hermaphrodites in the Sparidae.
