Mesquite Championship Rodeo
The Mesquite Championship Rodeo is a rodeo located in Mesquite, Texas, United States, that operates from June through August. It is only a 15 minute drive from Dallas, Texas. It is a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeo. In 2020, it was awarded the PRCA Small Rodeo of the Year award. It was also awarded the Texas Small Rodeo of the Year Award. Mesquite is a suburban city located east of the city of Dallas, Texas, in the United States. Most of the city is located in Dallas County, though a small portion extends into Kaufman County. RFD-TV is an American pay television channel owned by Rural Media Group, Inc. The channel features programming devoted to rural issues, concerns and interests. The channel's name is a reference to Rural Free Delivery, the name for the United States Postal Service's system of delivering mail directly to rural patrons. Mesquite Arena is a 7,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Mesquite, Texas, Mesquite, Texas, United States. It is home to the Mesquite Championship Rodeo and the Mesquite Outlaws indoor soccer team of the Major Arena Soccer League. The arena has been holding events since 1985. The types of events in the modern age currently include rodeos, monster truck wars, boxing, and concerts.
