Deanna Merryman (born 1972) is an American actress, glamor model, and fitness model. She was part of ''Playboy's Great Lingerie Model Search'' in 1997 and was a contestant in the Miss Hawaiian Tropic beauty pageant in 1998; later becoming a model for Hawaiian Tropic. The next year, she was featured on the cover of ''Iron Man Magazine''. She starred, credited as Deana, on the documentary soap drama ''Desperately Seeking Stardom'' in 1999. John Merryman
John Merryman (August 9, 1824 – November 15, 1881) of Baltimore County, Maryland, was arrested in May 1861 and held prisoner in Fort McHenry in Baltimore and was the petitioner in the case ''"Ex parte Merryman"'' which was one of the best known ''habeas corpus'' cases of the American Civil War (1861–1865). Merryman was arrested for his involvement in the mob in Baltimore, specifically for his leadership in the destruction of telegraph lines, but was not charged, a right normally ensured by the writ of ''habeas corpus''. The case was taken up by the federal circuit court and its current presiding judge who happened to be Chief Justice Roger B. Taney, a Democrat-leaning Marylander. The reading of Article 1, Section 9 of the Constitution was in question. Taney believed that the phrase “when in cases of rebellion or invasion the public safety may require it” applied solely to Congress because of its location in Article 1. Jerry Merryman
Jerry Dale Merryman (June 17, 1932 – February 27, 2019) was an American electrical engineer and inventor. He was a member of the team at Texas Instruments that developed the first pocket calculator in 1965. Early life Merryman was born on June 17, 1932, near Hearne, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University but failed to graduate. Career Merryman began his career at Texas Instruments in 1963. With Jack Kilby and James Van Tassel, he invented the hand-held calculator in 1965. Two years later, "The first patent for the calculator was filed." Merryman retired as an engineer for Texas Instruments in 1994 but continued to work for them as a consultant. Personal life and death Merryman was married three times. He first married Vernette Posey, followed by Sally Simon, and finally Phyllis Lee. He had a daughter, Melissa. Marjorie Merryman (born 1951) is an American composer, author, and music educator. She is a member of the composition faculty at the Manhattan School of Music since 2007, where she also served as Interim President, Provost and Senior Vice President at Manhattan School of Music. She previously taught at Boston University and Macalester College. While at BU, she was commissioned by many professional musical ensembles to write pieces ranging from small chamber works to a full opera. She has written and published pieces such as "Chinese Moon Poems", a women's choral piece based on Chinese poems about the moon. The Inferior Five (or I5) are a parody superhero team appearing in books by the American publisher DC Comics. Created by writer E. Nelson Bridwell and artist Joe Orlando, the team premiered in the DC Comics title ''Showcase (comic book), Showcase'' #62 (May-June 1966). The premise is that the characters are the children of members of a superhero team called the Freedom Brigade, a parody of the Justice League, Justice League of America. In their early appearances, the team went up against spoofs of the Marvel Comics heroes.
