Merrick And Rosso Unplanned
''Merrick and Rosso Unplanned'' was a free-form talk show hosted by Australian comedians Merrick Watts and Tim Ross, based on the UK talk show ''Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned''. Produced by Granada Australia, the series debuted on the Nine Network on 3 September 2003. The show was the network television debut for the comedy duo. A highlight of the series involved comedian Scott Thomson who was dragged on stage to perform a stand-up comedy routine which poked fun at Australian personalities, in particular Nikki Webster and Democrats politician Natasha Stott-Despoja. A telephone number appeared on screen at the end of the segment for viewers to call who had taken offence at Thomson's material. Merrick Watts (born 18 November 1973) is an Australian comedian, radio and television presenter. He is best known for performing stand-up comedy and radio works as part of the comedy duo Merrick and Rosso with Tim Ross. Career Stand up Watts began his career in comedy and first came together with Tim Ross when they teamed up for a one off comedy show in 1996. They had many stand up shows and comedy tours across Australia and appeared at many comedy festivals. They also published the comedy books ''Merrick and Rosso, The Book'' and ''Merrick and Rosso, The Book Volume 2''. Radio Watts began his radio career with Tim Ross at Triple J performing a weekly guest spot on the drive-time program on Triple J radio in 1998 as Merrick and Rosso. Tim Ross
Timothy Jonathon Ross (nicknamed Rosso) is an Australian comedian, radio host, writer and television presenter. He began his career performing stand-up comedy with Merrick Watts as part of the duo Merrick and Rosso. He is now better known as the presenter of the ABC shows ''Streets of Your Town'' and ''Designing a Legacy'', which reflect his personal enthusiasm for design and architecture. Education Ross studied drama and music at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and La Trobe University, also in Melbourne, graduating as a Bachelor of Arts. ''The B Team'' was an Australian comedy television show, which screened on Network Ten. The show starred comedians Merrick and Rosso and featured skits, pranks and some audience participation. The show's first episode aired on Wednesday 6 October 2005, but was soon cancelled due to poor ratings. Characters included bogans Brett & Craig, Dimitri the dodgy mobile phone dealer, DJ Panfa and Rosso Crowe. Characters * Brett and Craig are bogans that dress badly and speak in very strong Australian ocker accents, who were supposedly from Adelaide, South Australia. Baddiel And Skinner Unplanned
''Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned'' is a British free-form television talk show hosted by comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner and produced by Avalon Television for ITV. It ran from 2000 to 2005. Its concept was developed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe prior to the television series. Alongside the television series, the show had a run in the West End at the Shaftesbury Theatre between 17 April and 12 May 2001 from which a ‘Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned - Live in the West End’ DVD was released. Format The intro to the show begins with a slow pan along an empty street before focussing on actor Lewis Rose who sings the intro before the crowds come in to join with a chant of "It'll never work" and head into the theatre to watch the show.
