Meridian Green
Meridian Green is a California-based folk musician, and one half of Parsons Green, a collaboration with multi-instrumentalist Gene Parsons, former drummer with The Byrds. History Green was born to folk musician Bob Gibson in Greenwich Village. She moved to California's Mendocino area and began playing with the Gypsy Gulch International String Band. She also began playing bluegrass music with Gene Parsons, and they released some music commercially. As a solo artist and duetist, her work has been featured on the BBC and ''New York Times'' as well as smaller papers such as the Lincoln Chronicl She has also performed internationally, both by herself and at numerous festivals. In addition to her musical career, she co-created the Parsons/Green B-Bender device used in the Fender Nashville B-Bender Telecaster guitar. Daniel Perkins Smith Paul (July 22, 1924 – January 24, 2010) was an American attorney best known for arguing the landmark case ''Miami Herald Publishing Co. v. Tornillo'' before the Supreme Court of the United States. The decision established the principle that government could not force a newspaper to publish content. Paul was born in Jacksonville, Florida, grew up in Daytona Beach, Florida, and was educated at Harvard University, receiving degrees in law and public administration. The Fender Nashville B-Bender Telecaster is an American Standard series electric guitar made by Fender Musical Instruments Corporation. This guitar is a Fender Telecaster with the addition of a factory-installed B-string bender device. The device raises the pitch of the second (B) string by one whole step (two frets) to C-sharp. The bend is activated by a one-inch downward pull on the guitar neck, allowing the player to emulate pedal steel sounds and play complex country bends. The Nashville B-Bender Telecaster was introduced in 1996 with major design changes in 1998 and 2000.
