Mercedes Quintana
Quintana Saravia Haydée Mercedes, known as Mercedes Quintana (1910 – 1996 in Buenos Aires) was an Argentine classical dancer, choreographer, director and actress of stage, screen and television. She had a prominent stage career in Argentina in the 1930s. She appeared in films such as ''Yo quiero ser bataclana'' (1941), '' Ven... mi corazón te llama'' (1942) and ''Mujeres que bailan'' (1949). Quintana was a director and choreographer of Teatro Colon's ''Ballet Estable''. She also ran her own dance studio, which produced performers such as Susana Zimmermann. Annemarie Heinrich
Annemarie Heinrich (9 January 1912 – 22 September 2005) was a German-born naturalized Argentine photographer, who specialized in portraits and nude photographs. Heinrich is considered one of Argentina's most important photographers. She is known for having photographed various celebrities of Argentine cinema, such as Tita Merello, Carmen Miranda, Zully Moreno and Mirtha Legrand; as well as other cultural personalities like Jorge Luis Borges, Pablo Neruda and Eva Perón. She also photographed landscapes, city scenes, animals, and abstracts. Her photographs of South America hold significant ethnographic value, showing changes to the area through the 20th century. Susana Zimmermann
Susana Zimmermann (1932-2021) was an Argentine dancer and choreographer. She was a pioneering figure in contemporary dance in Argentina and had choreographed at least sixty performances staged in different countries. Zimmermann was also an educator and is noted for developing a methodology for dance instruction. Biography Zimmermann was born Susana Beatriz Breyter in Buenos Aires on 7 December 1932. Her parents were Abraham Breyter and Juana Huberman. Breyter was a doctor and an immigrant from Kherson, Ukraine. Huberman descended from Romanian immigrants. She was awarded a scholarship to study dance in Europe. During this period, she trained under Renate Schottelius, Mary Wigman, Dore Hoyer and Maurice Béjart.
