Mercedes-Benz Antos
The Antos truck is a commercial vehicle manufactured by Daimler Truck. The Antos together with Arocs succeeded Axor. It was announced in May 2012 with a formal launch scheduled for September 2012. The Antos is available as either a platform trucks or tractor units with the axle spacing ranging from up to with weights from 18t. The Antos is available with a range of 13 power options from to , all with Euro VI compliant 6-cylinder engines in three sizes: the OM 936 with 7.7 L, the OM 470 with 10.7 L, and the OM 471 with 12.8 L. Daimler Truck AG (holding company legal name Daimler Truck Holding AG) is one of the world's largest commercial vehicle manufacturers, with over 35 main locations worldwide and approximately 100,000 employees. Daimler Truck AG is headquartered in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany. It was part of Daimler AG from November 2019 to December 2021. History Daimler Truck was established in 2019 as a subsidiary of Daimler AG. In February 2021, Daimler said it planned to spin off Daimler Truck into a separate listed company. The spin-off was approved by its shareholders on 1 October 2021. Following this, Daimler Truck Holding AG was incorporated to manage assets owned by Daimler Truck AG, and Daimler AG retained 35% of shares in a new company, with 5% being transferred to its pension trust. Mercedes-Benz Axor
The Mercedes-Benz Axor is a truck manufactured by Daimler Truck between 1999 and 2014 designed to fill the gap between the premium Actros tractors and the mostly rigid Atego trucks and was targeted at fleet customers. The model was succeeded by the Mercedes-Benz Antos in 2012 in Germany, but is still produced in Brazil, Turkey (at Aksaray), Indonesia (at Wanaherang) and India (by BharatBenz at Oragadam). The truck has a relatively simple manual gear-shift, or alternatively, the Electronic Power Shift (EPS), is available, as well as a fully automatic box. A commercial vehicle is any type of motor vehicle used for transporting goods or paying passengers. The United States defines a "commercial motor vehicle" as any self-propelled or towed vehicle used on a public highway in interstate commerce to transport passengers or property when the vehicle: :1. has a gross vehicle weight rating of 4,536 kg (10,001 pounds) or more :2.
