Mercedes-AMG GT3
The Mercedes-AMG GT (C190 / R190) is a grand tourer produced in coupé and roadster bodystyles by German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-AMG. The car was introduced on and was officially unveiled to the public in October 2014 at the Paris Motor Show. After the SLS AMG, it is the second sports car developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG. The Mercedes-AMG GT went on sale in two variants (GT and GT S) in March 2015, while a GT3 racing variant of the car was introduced in 2015. A high performance variant called the GT R was introduced in 2016. A GT4 racing variant, targeted at semi-professional drivers and based on the GT R variant, was introduced in 2017. Recently, a new variant called the AMG GT Black series has been released. All variants are assembled at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfingen, Germany. Mercedes-AMG GmbH, commonly known as AMG, is the high-performance subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz AG. AMG independently hires engineers and contracts with manufacturers to customize Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles. The company has its headquarters in Affalterbach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. AMG was originally an independent engineering firm specializing in performance improvements for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. An overhead camshaft (OHC) engine is a piston engine where the camshaft is located in the cylinder head above the combustion chamber. This contrasts with earlier overhead valve engines (OHV), where the camshaft is located below the combustion chamber in the engine block. ''Single overhead camshaft'' (SOHC) engines have one camshaft per bank of cylinders. ''Dual overhead camshaft'' (DOHC, also known as "twin-cam".) engines have two camshafts per bank. Tobias Moers (born May 1966) is a German businessman, and was the chief executive (CEO) of Aston Martin from August 2020 to May 2022. Moers was born in May 1966 in Freiburg. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg (Dipl.-Wirtschaftsingenieur FH). Moers worked for Daimler AG for 26 years, rising to chairman of the management board and chief executive officer of Mercedes-AMG GmbH in October 2013. Mercedes-Benz SL-Class (R232)
The Mercedes-AMG SL (model code R232) is the seventh-generation of the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class roadster, replacing the R231 model. Marketed under Mercedes-AMG branding, it was presented on 28 October 2021, following the preview of interior on 14 July 2021. The R232 is no longer sold under Mercedes-Benz as it has become exclusive to Mercedes-AMG and a direct replacement for the GT Roadster. A roadster (also spider, spyder) is an open two-seat car with emphasis on sporting appearance or character. Initially an American term for a two-seat car with no weather protection, usage has spread internationally and has evolved to include two-seat convertibles. The roadster was also a style of racing car driven in United States Auto Club (USAC) Championship Racing, including the Indianapolis 500, in the 1950s and 1960s. This type of racing car was superseded by rear-mid-engine cars. A grand tourer (GT) is a type of car that is designed for high speed and long-distance driving, due to a combination of performance and luxury attributes. The most common format is a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive two-door coupé with either a two-seat or a 2+2 arrangement. Grand tourers are most often the coupé derivative of luxury saloons or sedans.
