''Mera Pind'' (English: ''My village'') is a Punjabi film released on 20 September 2008, directed and produced Manmohan Singh. The film stars Harbhajan Mann, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Kimi Verma and Gurpreet Ghuggi. Plot Mera Pind is the story of a well-to-do Non-resident Indian Navjot Singh sidhu, who is played by Navjot Sidhu, who has chosen to settle in his native village and spread the message of empowerment and entrepreneurship among the village youth. Led by Himmat, played by Harbhajan Maan, the youth set off a revolution in the development of the village. The story inspires Punjabis who are increasingly opting to settle abroad, to undertake business in their own villages and cities. Mera Pind also includes a story of a young man seeking his love but has been shielded from the father of the woman he loves. Manmohan Singh (film Director)
Manmohan Singh is an Indian film director and cinematographer. He is a director of Punjabi films and cinematographer of Bollywood films. In the past he had frequently collaborated with Yash Chopra and his son Aditya Chopra, for whom he shot '' Chandni'' (1989), ''Lamhe'' (1991), ''Darr'' (1993), ''Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'' (1995), ''Dil To Pagal Hai'' (1997), and ''Mohabbatein'' (2000). Besides his Bollywood career as a cinematographer, he is also known as a pioneering director in Punjabi cinema. Sheeba Bhakri
Sheeba were an all-girl pop trio popular in Ireland in the late 1970s and early 1980s. They were Maxi, Marion Fossett and Frances Campbell. They are best known for representing the host nation, Ireland, in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981 with "Horoscopes".
