Menalou vanilia fir honey ( el, Μέλι Ελάτης Βανίλια Μαινάλου) is a honey produced in Greece with protected destination of origin status. It contains at least 80% honey of the which will be from the black pine, and the rest will be flower honey produced in the region (<20%) with a pleasant taste and a characteristic appearance with a light colour and sheen; moisture content 14–15.5%, sucrose content <10% (8–18%). Honey
Honey is a sweet and viscous substance made by several bees, the best-known of which are honey bees. Honey is made and stored to nourish bee colonies. Chrysovitsi
Chrysovitsi ( el, Χρυσοβίτσι) is a mountain village and a community in the municipal unit of Falanthos, Arcadia, Greece. At the 2011 census its population was 33 for the village and 58 for the community, which includes the village Mantaiika, 5 km southeast of Chrysovitsi. Built on the slopes of Mainalo at 1,100 m, Chrysovitsi is one of the highest villages in the Peloponnese. It is a traditional settlement since November 23, 1998 (Law 908D) and its code number is 12317201. Chrysovitsi is 4 km southwest of Piana, 7 km northeast of Lykochia, 11 km east of Stemnitsa and 15 km northwest of Tripoli. The village’s houses are all on the slope of the mountain. Piana, Arcadia
Piana ( el, Πιάνα) is a historical village of Arcadia and one of the traditional Greek villages of Peloponnese. It is built at the Mainalo mountain, near the ruins of the ancient city Dipaia ( el, Διπαία). Its population was 70 at the 2011 census.
