Men's Under-19 National Floorball Team Of Canada
The Canada Men's Under-19 National Floorball Team is the men's under-19 national floorball team of Canada, and a member of the International Floorball Federation. The team is composed of the best floorball players in Canada under the age of 19. Canada's under-19 men's team is currently ranked 13th in the world at floorball, and plays in the B-Division at the World Floorball Championships. The Canada National Team is organized by Floorball Canada. The team made its international floorball debut against Germany on May 6, 2009, in Raisio, Finland. The match was part of the 2009 Men's under-19 World Floorball Championships, and ended with a 5:5 draw. 2019 Men's Under-19 World Floorball Championships B-Division
The 2019 Men's U-19 World Floorball Championships B-Division took place in conjunction with the tenth world championships in men's under-19 floorball. The tournament took place from May 8–12, 2019 in Halifax, Canada, and was the first Men's U-19 WFC played outside of Europe. Qualification 26 teams registered for the tenth men's under-19 world championships.. The top eight teams from the 2017 U-19 WFC automatically qualified as part of the A-Division. Poland was relegated from the A-Division, Canada qualified automatically as the host, and the United States thus qualified automatically with the spot from the Americas, with the remainder of the teams competing to qualify for the five remaining spots in the B-Division. Floorball Teams In Canada
Floorball is a type of floor hockey with five players and a goalkeeper in each team. Men and women play indoors with sticks and a plastic ball with holes. Matches are played in three twenty-minute periods. The sport of bandy also played a role in the game's development. The game was invented in Sweden in the late 1960s. The basic rules were established in 1979 when the first floorball club in the world, Sala IBK, from Sala, was founded in Sweden. Official rules for matches were first written down in 1981. The sport is organized internationally by the International Floorball Federation (IFF). As of 2019, there were about 377,000 registered floorball players worldwide, up from around 300,000 in 2014. 2015 Men's Under-19 World Floorball Championships
The 2015 Men's under-19 World Floorball Championships were the eighth world championships in men's under-19 floorball. The tournament took place over April 29 to May 3, 2015, in Helsingborg, Sweden. Finland won their 3rd world championship total by winning Switzerland in the final with goals 13–3. Host team Sweden ended to 4th place when Czechia won them with goals 7–6 in the bronze medal game on the overtime. This is the first and the only time when Sweden ended the international floorball tournament without medal.
