Memorial University of Newfoundland Students' Union, (popularly known as "MUNSU") is an undergraduate Student center, student union located in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It is the official student government representing the students of Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John's Campus. Membership in the union is automatic and totals around 11,500 undergraduate students. MUNSU is local 35 of the Canadian Federation of Students, one of the national organizations of student unions in Canada. MUNSU is one of very few students' unions in Canada to be directly recognized in provincial legislation as the official representatives of the student body (''see:'' The Memorial University Act). The Canadian Federation of Students (CFS) is the largest student organization in Canada, representing over 530,000 students from across Canada. Formed in 1981, the stated goal of the Federation is to represent the collective voice of Canadian students and work at the federal level for high quality, accessible post-secondary education. The CFS has its roots in Canada's long tradition of having national student organizations, such as formerly the National Union of Students (Canada), the Canadian Union of Students, the National Federation of Canadian University Students, the Canadian Student Assembly, and the Student Christian Movement of Canada (SCM). Mile One Stadium
Mary Brown's Centre (formerly Mile One Centre) is an indoor arena and entertainment venue located in downtown St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The arena opened in May 2001, replacing Memorial Stadium (St. John's), Memorial Stadium. At full capacity the arena can seat 7,000 people.
