Arif Memduh Ün (14 March 1920 – 16 October 2015) was a Turkish film producer, director, actor and screenwriter. His film, '' The Broken Pots'', was entered into the 11th Berlin International Film Festival The 11th annual Berlin International Film Festival was held from 23 June to 4 July 1961. Kasımpaşa, Beyoğlu
Kasımpaşa () is a working-class neighbourhood on the northern shore of the Golden Horn within the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, Turkey, on the European side of the city. Once best known for its naval bases and shipyards, it is a rapidly evolving area, likely to be greatly changed by the Haliçport-Tersane Istanbul projects taking shape along its shoreline in 2022. Adjoining areas include Piyalepaşa, Hasköy and Şişehane to which it is connected by a Metro tunnel. Also nearby are Dolapdere and Kurtulüs which was founded, as Tatavla, by Greek from Chios who chose to leave their homes in Kasımpaşa for higher ground after their church was turned into a mosque. The Golden Horn ferry stops at Kasımpaşa connecting it with Üsküdar, Karaköy, Fener, Balat, Ayvansaray, Eyüp and Sütlüce. Kasımpaşa is the lowest valued property on the Istanbul Monopoly board game. Vefa High School Alumni
Vefa is part of the district of Fatih in Istanbul, and lies inside what was once the old walled city of Constantinople. It lies roughly northwest of the eastern section of the Aqueduct of Valens, and is rich in monuments, both Byzantine and Ottoman. It takes its name from the Muslim saint (wali) Shaykh Ebu’l Vefa who is buried locally in his own mosque and dergah. Vefa lies to the east of busy Atatürk Bulvari, the main road pushed through the old city by the French architect Henri Prost in the 1950s. Immediately to its north is the rundown area of Küçükpazarı while to the east is the Süleymaniye district around the huge Süleymaniye Mosque complex. Buses plough up and down Atatürk Bulvari linking Vefa to Taksim, Eminönü, Fatih and Beyazıt.
