Melodifestivalen 2021
Melodifestivalen 2021 was the 61st edition of the Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen. The competition was organised by Sveriges Television (SVT) and took place over a six-week period between 6 February and 13 March 2021. Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in Sweden, COVID-19 pandemic, all shows of this edition took place in the Annexet in Stockholm, and without an audience. The winner of the competition was Tusse with the song "Voices (Tusse song), Voices", who represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where he came fourteenth with 109 points. The format of the competition consisted of 6 shows: 4 heat rounds, a second chance round and a final. Christer Björkman
Christer Samuel Björkman (; born 25 August 1957) is a Swedish singer and television producer. He represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 with the song "I morgon är en annan dag". From 2002 to 2021, he served as a producer of Melodifestivalen, and remained an important figure in Melodifestivalen and the Eurovision Song Contest. He stepped down from this position after Melodifestivalen 2021, and is currently working at Voxovation, a Los Angeles-based company that focuses on expanding the Eurovision Song Contest brand into other markets. Biography Björkman was born in Borås as the son of gaming entrepreneur Ulla Björkman (b. 1939). He never met his father while he was alive. He began working as a hairdresser, and soon had his own hair salon in Borås. Eurovision Song Contest 2021
The Eurovision Song Contest 2021 was the 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Rotterdam, Netherlands, following the country's win at the with the song "Arcade" by Duncan Laurence. The Netherlands was set to host the , before it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcasters (NPO), (NOS) and AVROTROS, the contest was held at Rotterdam Ahoy, and consisted of two semi-finals on 18 and 20 May, and a final on 22 May 2021. The three live shows were presented by Dutch television presenters and singers Chantal Janzen, Edsilia Rombley and Jan Smit, and Dutch YouTube personality and makeup-artist Nikkie de Jager. Arvingarna
Arvingarna is a Swedish dansband formed in Gothenburg in 1989. The group consists of Casper Janebrink (vocals and bass guitar), Lars Larsson (guitars, vocals and keyboards), Kim Carlsson (vocals and guitars) and Tommy Carlsson (drums and vocals). At Melodifestivalen 1993, they performed the song '" Eloise", which won, allowing Arvingarna to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest in Millstreet Co.Cork in May that year, where the song finished 7th. History Arvingarna was founded in 1989, following the members earlier having played heavy metal, without any major successes. The band's name ("The heirs") refers to the group member's parents, who also were active in dansbands. Arvingarna plays a form of dansband music that is it inspired by pop music and rock music, and has also being described as a boyband. Anton Ewald
Anton Kim Ewald (born August 7, 1993) is a Swedish singer and dancer. He has participated in Melodifestivalen several times as both a background dancer and singer. Career Ewald began his career as a background dancer at Melodifestivalen. In Melodifestivalen 2009, he danced behind Velvet when she competed in the third semi-final in Leksand with "The Queen". In Melodifestivalen 2012 he was a dancer and choreographer behind Danny Saucedo in his song " Amazing". He also danced and choreographed Andreas Lundstedt number "Aldrig aldrig" ("Never Never") during the same year's competition. Linnéa Mary Hansdotter Deb (née Sporre; born 23 July 1977), known professionally as Linnea Deb, is a Swedish singer, songwriter and record producer. She has worked with artists such as Fifth Harmony, JoJo, MiC Lowry and Akon. Deb is signed to Northbound Music Publishing in Stockholm, where she is a member of the production team The Family together with Joy Deb and Anton Hård af Segerstad. Anders Wrethov, professionally known as Anderz Wrethov, is a Swedish songwriter and producer. Biography Wrethov was born in Trelleborg and grew up in Vellinge. He graduated from Musikhögskolan in Malmö in 2002. He sings and plays the piano and the guitar. He began learning to play the guitar at the age of seven, and also took piano lessons. In the 1980s he started listening to hard rock music, and playing the electric guitar. Álvaro Raúl Estrella Zapata (born 14 August 1980) is a Swedish singer and dancer with Chilean origin who has participated four times in Melodifestivalen (2014, 2020, 2021 and 2022), the selection process for picking the Swedish entry to the Eurovision Song Contest. P4 (''pe fyra'') is a national radio channel produced by the Swedish public broadcaster Sveriges Radio.
