Melker Bent-Inge Garay (born 11 April 1966, in Tocopilla, Chile), is a Swedish author. Born to a Swedish father and Chilean mother, the family moved from Chile to Sweden in 1970, just prior to the Chilean Revolution in 1973. He was raised in Norrköping, on the east coast of Sweden, where he currently resides with his family. His writing revolves around theological, existential and philosophical topics. Garay debuted in 2008 with his novel ''The Verger'' (published by Norlén & Slottner). ''The Verger'' has been translated into several languages. In 2009, he became a member of the Swedish Writers' Union, and in 2012, he was elected as member of Svenska PEN, the Swedish link to the International PEN literary organisation. Melker Hallberg (born 20 October 1995) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for St Johnstone. Hallberg began his senior career at Kalmar FF, then in 2014, he signed for Italian club Udinese, and during his time there went on loan to Vålerenga, Hammarby IF, Ascoli and Kalmar FF. He signed for Vejle BK in 2018, where he spent one season. Hallberg then played in three seasons for Scottish club Hibernian. Melker Svärd Jacobsson (born 8 January 1994) is a Swedish pole vaulter. Athletics career At the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics held in Singapore, Jacobsson placed joint fourth in the final of the boys' pole vault with a jump of 4.85 metres. He won the silver medal at the 2011 World Youth Championships in Athletics and finished sixth at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics. In 2014 he finished 19th in the men's pole vault at the European Athletics Championships with a jump of 5.30 metres. Jacobsson set an indoor personal best jump of 5.65 metres, at an event in Potsdam in February 2014. Daisy Louisa C. de Melker ( née Hancorn-Smith; 1 June 1886 – 30 December 1932) simply known as Daisy de Melker, was a South African nurse who poisoned two husbands with strychnine for their life insurance money; she also poisoned her only son with arsenic for reasons which are still unclear. De Melker is the second woman to have been hanged in South African criminal history. De Melker was accused of three murders but only convicted of one, the killing of her son. The charges of poisoning her husbands were never proven in a court of law. It was William Sproat, the younger brother of her second husband Robert, who accused De Melker because he wanted Robert's will in favour of De Melker declared invalid.
