Mohammed Milhim
Mohammed Hassan Milhim ( ar, محمد حسن ملحم; 4 September 1929 – 17 July 2021) was a Palestinian politician, who served as mayor of Halhul. He graduated from the Lebanese University with a certificate in English literature in 1974. He was elected mayor of Halhul in 1976. In 1980 he was exiled from the West Bank for being a member of the PLO Executive Committee and was allowed back 12 years later. Cesar Melhem (Arabic: سيزار ملحم) (born 4 January 1965) is a former State Secretary of the Victorian Branch of the Australian Workers' Union (AWU), and a former Member for Western Metropolitan Region in the Legislative Council, Parliament of Victoria, between 2013 and 2022. Background Born in Lebanon, Melhem migrated to Australia at the age of 23. Completing a Diploma of Electronics in 1986, he worked as a process operator before being elected as a union organiser for the Federated Ironworkers Association of Australia (FIA). Flanagan High School in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Melhem Barakat ( ar, ملحم بركات; 15 August 1945 – 28 October 2016), also known as Melhim Barakat, or Abou Majd was a Lebanese singer, songwriter, and melodist. Barakat was a well-renowned singer in Lebanon and the wider Arab world. He toured Australia, South America, Canada, and the United States. Melhem Karam (1932–2010) was a Lebanese writer and journalist who owned many publications, including ''Al Bayrak'' newspaper and ''Al Hawadeth'' magazine. He was also long-term president of the Lebanese Journalists Union for nearly 50 years in the period 1961–2010. Early life and education Karam was born in Chouf, Deir al Qamar, in 1932.
